That is terrible. Perhaps it's really just 'brainless fun', if you don't mind me quoting the 'Transformers defence' from the film thread.
Oh, and terrible Irish accent too. "arse" -

Registered 7 years agoWhile we're talking about baffling Transformers scenes, please allow me to share the "Deep Wang" incident from Transformers 3:
Unlike the last one, it's not morally repugnant, but it is one of those most bizarre non sequiturs I've ever seen in a film.
If you can't be bothered to watch, it features the Chinese guy from The Hangover movies straddling Shia LaBeouf in a toilet cubicle, saying "Deep Wang" over and over until he aggressively removes his trousers and John Malkovich walks in. This is from a movie about giant robots. -

Registered 18 years agoSomeone should make a master edit of all the incredible stuff from the series.
The scene from the first one where they decide to take the fight to a densly populated are has to be in it. -

Registered 20 years agoDid I miss something with this movie, I saw it the other weekend and thought it was garbage. I'm new to the franchise, I've heard of the original films but they passed me by. -

Registered 18 years agoIt's far from rubbish but it's no classic either. It's like Pacific Rim but with much better action scenes

Its a serious bummer having to climb into a Nissan Micra after watching this movie -

Registered 13 years agoThere's loads of similarities. There both set on earth. They both have humans, some humans die. There's talking. I can see where they get it from. -
Both films too, I note. I'd not be surprised if Fury Road ends up on some consumer format like BD or DvD - just like Pacific Rim.
You read it here first. -

Registered 16 years agoI just saw this today, though I wasn't really looking forward to it all that much. The trailers did nothing for me and I've never seen any of the other ones, but it was a day out so why not.
I was very presently surprised. It was great! A bit intense at times so I'm not sure I'd want to see it again too soon, but I did love it. I found all the characters interesting and enjoyable to watch, there was always plenty going on without being so busy you'd lose track, and the stunts were incredible. I guess I'll have to go back and watch the rest too now. I'm glad I went to see it

Registered 16 years agoWhat is the purpose of the black and white version? As in, why are they putting it on there? Is it just to be a bit weird?
I have nothing against that, by the way. -

Registered 13 years agoI'm still puzzled about the 'Romeo and Juliet' thing in Transformers. Do Texas statutes apply elsewhere in the US? Does the pre-existing juvenile relationship come from when he was 17 and she was 14, without Marky Mark knowing about it? Did they use to live in Texas?
I would get the police involved anyway. Or just kick the shit out of him (if I was Marky Mark I mean, I don't think I could manage it). -

Registered 17 years agoIt looks as though the film has done well in the States again this weekend. It's holding steady at number 3 which is where it's been for the last 3 weeks. Could be getting a lot of repeat business. Other films seem to have that huge drop after the opening weekend. I'm pretty sure they're going to do a sequel although it's still not been announced yet.
With regards George Miller, anyone remember he was going to do a film version of Justice League a few years back? I think there may even be a thread for it somewhere. Yep, from what I remember, everyone was slagging it off as it was pretty much a cast of unknowns and a few strange decisions abut it's direction. Batman uses guns or something like that. There were also questions over Miller as a director.
He's pretty much put himself back on the A-List now. But back to Justice League and there's just been some concept ark that's been put online
Linky
Looks as though there's a documentary being put together on it too.

I thought it had? I remember reading an article saying it would be called Mad Max: The Wasteland, but it might've been a fan thing as I can't remember where I read it.
