One of the best thing about having a missus from another country/culture is that you get to introduce them to all the movies that made up your childhood. Loved going through Ghostbusters, Gremlins and Back To The Future etc. again with my girlfriend watching them for the first time.

I use IMDB to keep track of what I've seen and what I want to see. I usually remember every movie I've seen but not the films I read or hear about that interest me.

I'd recommend anything by the Coen brothers and the Dardennes brothers but not the Farrelly brothers. Their output is woefully inconsistent. Everything by Kubrick except Eyes Wide Shut and most films by Hitchcock but especially Psycho, Rear Window and Vertigo.
