Registered 17 years agoTony Hawk underground.
Not really a skate fan, but got addicted to tony hawk underground 2 at a friend' places. Borrowed that, completed it. Recently bought the first one and now I have completed that. There was something oddly compelling about those games.
Are the older tony hawk games cool? I believe they are more serious about skating instead of the story shenanigans you have here? -

I played the first 3 to death and really enjoyed them. I never played 4/Underground as much, but I don't think it's because they were any less enjoyable. I actually have the gamecube versions of 3+4, but want rid off them to get the ps2 versions, as I find the dual shock a much better controller for them then the GC pad

Registered 17 years agoI *should* be completing Half-Life 2 any time soon, but I'm finding the last two or three chapters a real struggle. I fail to understand why your squad has a "come here" and "go there" button, but not a "get the fuck out of my way" button. Plus I'm getting *really* tired of blowing stuff up with the rocket launcher. I dunno, the game seems to have taken a massive nosedive in quality since the end of the Entanglement chapter, and I'm forcing myself to play through it now. -

Registered 16 years agoIn the last 6 weeks, all start to finish except for the first one:
Project Gotham 2
Deus Ex Invisible War
Jet Set Radio Future
Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic
Splinter Cell
Def Jam Fight for New York
Out of all of them, SW KOTOR was by far & away the best of them. Jet Set was better the further you got into it although it was often difficult to know where you had to go next & I thought Deus Ex was better than it's unfortunate reputation (although nowhere near as good as the suspicious "oh my god it roxxors...97%" reviews it got when it launched. -

Registered 18 years agoZelda: Wind Waker... Great game, a little annoying that it virtually forces you to explore everywhere at the end; I would've done it anyway if it was optional. Also, the final dungeon and boss were very disappointing and rushed-feeling.
Really enjoyed the game, it's just that I feel it had more potential. -

Registered 17 years agoCompleted HL2 for the second time on Friday. I haven't completed many in the last 12 months, and the last game I completed twice was MGS2.
(You don't need to blow everything with the rocket-launcher, by the way. It's only really the Striders and gunships you need to use it on. Otherwise go aggriessive with the shotgun and Overwatch rifle.) The latter half of Follow Freeman is fantastic. -

Fable, excellent game yea people say it doesn't live up to what it was touted to be, but what game does. It's still one of the best examples I have seen of what a RPG should be combining elements from WRPGs and JRPGs.
Tales of Symphonia classic JRPG gaming at it's best took me 62hrs according to the game clock (granted it does count the time you leave the game pausedso it was possibly closer to about 50hrs) spent a lot of time leveling at various stages of the game and finally was at level 85 making the final two battles a cake walk.
On to ICO next... -

MGS3? Well that was last week, but that's still valid, right?
Took 14 hours, well, actually it must've been a bit longer than that because I restarted some sections again when I fucked up. Still, a brilliant game. -

What games have other people been completeing lately?
Blatent thread hijack here, but is there a reason that my characters are now only getting 1 experience point for a kill nowadays? I'm sure they used to get more than that.
Oh, and to get it back on track, MGS3 is the only one I've finished recently. My 'in play' pile is currently huge. (: ))
