You'll be adding that 0.5 back on after playing the DLC.

    Sniper Elite 4 (PS4)

A year or so ago I abandoned this game but restarted recently and something clicked. So glad it did as its rather good. The slow motion bullet tracking as you nail a target through the lung, head ect never gets old.

I'd start out stealthy but once or twice cover was blown especially if blowing something up. Rather than reload a game save I'd see it through and it actually made things a little easier as they'd come to you and then you can get the documents you need without having to sneak about.

Don't normally mention loading times but this is probably one of the fastest loading games I've played in awhile.

    Wolfenstein: Youngblood (Game Pass)

I played solo with the AI which did a decent job of reviving me when I was downed which will happen a lot. Until the times it didn't and I could happily shoot Jess in the face.

The bullet sponge enemies highlight everything wrong with the game. Constantly revisiting the same looking environments (fighting those same enemies) from start to finish, the repetitive same 4 'strike' secondary missions, the repetitive propaganda announcer/lines from the girls and the repetitive footage they use to hide the loading.

A fun mindless shooter could hide all of this but Youngblood fails at being that.

The thing that gets me is that the devs have gone to the effort of creating 80s German techno pop songs but they cannot be listened to outside the main menu like any modern game. The same with plot elements. It would have taken away some of the monotony having a techno version of 'House of the Rising Sun' playing in the background and brought a bit of life to a lifeless game.

    Unsurprisingly it's shit.

    2/10

    Luigi's Mansion 3 - Switch - 6.5/10

Hadn't played a Luigi's Mansion game before and wasn't quite sure what to expect. "Nintendo does Resident Evil" probably wasn't high on my list, but is probably the closest comparison I could draw.

I actually liked quite a lot about this. Some of the puzzles are neat. A couple of the bosses are well done. The visual design has some strong moments. The toolset it gives you to work with is well crafted. But...

Oh so many flaws. The controls are awful. Even after switching to the alternate scheme, they're fairly terrible. The whole thing also seems to have an unpleasant layer of input lag in certain battles, which adds an extra layer of annoyance.

The playtime has some quite gratuitous padding. I finished in around 12 hours, but there's a hell of a lot of "oh, we think this floor was a bit quick, so here's another random fight". That fucking cat is the worst gameplay idea in history. It's like "fucking shit" and "absolute wank" got together and had a baby.

And oh my god it's smug. This is a common complaint I have with Nintendo first-party games, but this is a real exemplar. Their characters really can be fucking hateful and this game brings it to the fore. I lost count of the number of times Luigi had a lift button swiped from him while he was holding it up in the air in his stupid fucking victory pose and yet he keeps on fucking doing it. Every, fucking time. Made me want to shove the smug cunt's fucking stupid head in a food liquidiser.

Oh, and one last gripe... there's money everywhere and money seems to be the reward from most secrets, but it seems to be good for sweet fuck all. I can buy the extra life things... which is fine, except I used around 3 of them all game, so not a burning priority. Other than that, you can just buy hints for collectibles. Which give you... fuck all. I get the feeling the game really needed some kind of upgrade mechanic or something so there was an actual point to the cash and collectibles, but that it got scrapped somewhere along the development pipeline.

Anyway, I generally enjoyed it. More good than bad. But the bad is impossible to overlook.

@Rogueywon Haha so I'm not the only one that wasn't lovestruck by it.
Hated the cat also and some of the bosses, tbh I didn't bother finishing the final boss.. I didn't feel like struggling on with it

    Batman The enemy within

Quite enjoyed the game, TT started doing 2 different final chapters depending on choices instead of choices mean fuck all. Although you have to fight John doe/Joker no matter what

Also a lot more violent than other TT games, also no slow down when the game craps it self, they must of fixed it. The gameplay is the same as ever. The devs needed to do something new with their titles as they become very samey, which is why people got them in sales or waited till they went on psn+ or GwG

As I got it on GwG - 8/10

Deus Ex: Manchester United...at least that is what my brain sees!

Excellent Deus Ex (I loathe ManU)
Totally Enjoyed. Started a NG+ right away, I love being overpowered, although going to be doing a non lethal run this time.

Silent Hill and tons of online gambling games, most of them I find here https://casinobetsites.com/ , prefer live dealer sites like LeoVegas and Mr Green :D I recently discovered for myself League of Legends, it's pretty good, too.

    Metro Exodus (PC)

    Such a gorgeous game.
I loved the open world setting although thatís only half the game. The other half is pretty linear, like a hybrid.
The voice acting was great, nice gunplay - love the customisation too
Thereís not much to dislike in all honesty.
The latter part of the game had a section which made my stomach turn - my face was scrunched the whole time!
    Great ride.

    8.5/10

    Hunt showdown PS4.

Oh my this is addictive. I've been playing every free minute since release with two friends and just hit 100 so I'm going to leave it for a while as I need to break this crack like obsession I have with it. Great game but so fucking annoying most of the time. I love all the weapons and animations with them. Visually are quite nice on my peasant PS4.

Hard to score. I guess if you are good at FPS and play with friends it's a 10/10. If you're bad at shooting people in the head it's more like a 5/10.

Agree with most of this, particularly how addictive it is.

Why did they go with the most shit/generic name possible when the game is anything but?

Great game with friends, think it works better in due rather than trios, though.

    Nier: Automata on PS4

Good world, good characters, good story, mediocre gameplay. Lots of frame drops (on Pro). The best game I'd played in a long time. Come for the hot android arse, stay for the depth and drama.

    9/10

Azur Lane: Crosswave (PC) - 5/10

Played it to see what all the fuss was about. It's a mediocre arena shooter with a low-tier visual novel bolted on. Even by Compile Heart standards, it's lazy.

    Wolfenstein: youngblood

Was expecting something a bit shite but i loved that. Utter carnage. Unlocked a quad damage perk towards the end so nothing stood a chance.

    9/10

    Doom II

Still a damn fine game, although the more convoluted level design detracts somewhat compared to the original and I'd forgotten the pain of the final boss. Still - the double barreled shotgun makes up for that and is the second best weapon in an FPS - the cannon from Serious Sam being the best.

    9/10

Interesting. You may well stand alone Wunty. I have read nothing but negativity about this yet you score it 90 fecking percent.

I enjoyed the previous games, maybe I should think about this?

As has been made clear over the years though, I am a man of questionable taste.

Screw that noise, the Borderlands series has the best weapons, and plenty of them.

    Fractured Minds

Probably the shortest 'game' I've played on Xbox. It's a first person journey through mental illness. Quite effective in tone, but with minimalist gameplay. It only lasts about 20 minutes though.

    7/10

I'm playing it in coop with a friend and we've definitely been having fun with it. I can definitely see how it would fuck me off in single player.
