Does anyone know of a site that allows you to send text messages for free to UK mobiles? Thanks.

If you already have a mobile phone you can use the phone providers website.

Or, the online version of ICQ allows one to send (and receive) free mobile text messages, which is brilliant. Mind you, i haven't used that in a while.

I'm with Orange but I can't find anything on their site. I checked out ICQ and it looks promising. Thanks.

Can anyone confirm if ICQ text messaging still works in the UK? I used to use it a lot but then it stopped working and I haven't used ICQ since.

Oh, can't confirm that. Perhaps it worked for jmctavish? I used it for Irish mobiles.

I couldn't send any messages through ICQ. I used the web based messenger but only recieved error messages when I tried to send. I don't thinks it supports UK mobiles anymore.
