The advantages of PC Gaming are
- The Modding Scene
- Backwards Compatibility
- Exclusives
- MP Games running/looking better on consoles
- Cheaper Games
The disadvantages are
- Steam can take all you games off you if you annoy them
- More expensive than consoles
- No Console exclusives
- it's only as expensive as your budget, you can get a laptop for £250 that plays hundreds of thousands of games just fine.
- there are almost as many PC exclusives as there are total console releases.
You missed hundreds of advantages too.
- the sales
- no physical media
- access all your games from anywhere
- you can alt tab to porn/work at any moment.
- you can use practically every controller ever made.
- more exclusives
- millions of free indie games
- cheaper games across the board
- upgradeable
- repairable
- expandable
- can be used for a million other things aside from playing games
The only disadvantage with PCs is with whatever over-hyped "AAA" dribble the publishers are trying to shove up your arse; the ports aren't always much cop.
Some of your advantages are irrelevant, e.g. can watch portn, do other stuff.
Every platform has exclusives. -

Registered 14 years agoFwiw, i've bought a few games and used VPN on steam and my account is still healthy. It's very much a grey area.
Now I just use CDKey sellers as it's cheap enough as it is. -

There is a discussion on the Steam forums before this where it seems it is a matter of personal preference. Also, yes, altering game settings on PC can be a faff. That's because it allows you to alter game settings. You don't have to - default settings typically deliver a console experience or better. If not being able to remove screen-tearing or whatever on console somehow makes consoles 'better', then yes - consoles are undoubtedly better than PCs. -
