It's been buging me for days and it's time to put an end to it. There's a film that ends with a song called "What a diference a day makes", sang by Dinah Washington, apparently. I have o idea wich film it is, but I've been trying to remember, because the song suddenly popped into my head several days ago. So, does anyone know? Please put me out of my misery. |
Help me identiy a film (by the song at the end!)

Registered 18 years agoIt can't be new, I'm thinking two or three years old at least. Not on TV, no, it must have been a cinema release.
As far as I remember it was very fitting ending song, the character's lives had changed dramatically.
At the moment I'm thinking of Sliding Doors, but I don't know how to check. -
24 the movie?
/gets coat.... -
One Fine Day?
Not Dinah herself, but the song features.
Edit:
Song written by Maria Grever and Stanley Adams
originally recorded by The Dorsey Brothers Orchestra (1934)
also recorded by Frank Sinatra, The Four Aces, Andy Russell (1944), Dinah Washington (1959) and Esther Phillips (1975)
also recorded by Tony Bennett (appears on the "One Fine Day" movie soundtrack)

It's also on the soundtrack for Casino. -
I thought you were pointing out that I missed commas (which I didn't, according to IMDB), before I saw your edit.

That has to be it, I didn't see any of the other ones. And it also explains wy it stayed in my memory for so long, I was really impressed with that film.
/feels much better now
Edit: I edited away the comma and I'm adding a link, in case anyone cares: The song is in the film, but not on the soundtrack album.

That's horrible. The film is not in English, so why is the title translated?
Don't tell me you guys go watch 'der untergang' as 'the downfall' or some such like?

The same happens with most English title movies in foreign territories. Don't tell me you've never noticed. Get over it, it's only a title. -

Because I don't speak german and I could get it wrong if I wouldn't say in in english?
Come on, do you say House of the Flying Daggers or Shi mian mai fu?
