Genuine question - does this work with a real guitar a la Rocksmith or is it still a clicky button on guitar shaped controller thing?

So, I'm hearing now that the PS3 Midi Pro adapter (for electonic drum kits) does actually work with the PS4 version of Rock Band 4 after all. Can anyone confirm this?
Yeah there's plenty of people on the RB forums reporting this.

I'm loving this so far, although my guitar don't respond sometimes.

I have it. At the moment I've been unable to import any of my old music in since the add ons section is absent on the store and I can't log into PSN in the game either for some reason. There's some minor issues with the guitar not always registering as well however....freestyle solo's are brilliant fun although they do make solos far to easy to get through.

Overall I'm not sure I can agree with eurogamers review on it, the track list with the game is not great bordering on awful. Yes it's nice that it supports the old content I bought however since I can't access any of it I can only judge it based on what's in the game which I can't play properly because it won't sign into the PSN which for some reason blocks out the world tour bit as well.

@FuzzyDuck only works with the guitar you get in the bundle, which is the clicky button guitar shaped controller.

Works a charm with my 360 guitar (which works outside the game as well, can navigate the guide with it).

Storefront is broken though. The Packs and Albums sections both just show as empty, and the individual track area shows half my purchases as Purchased and the other half with a price (though it still says I can download for free when selected). I think I'll wait until the store's fixed before downloading most of my dlc.

Hmm, I wonder if the little gadget lets you use a 360 pad with the One.

If you mean the Crossharbour Asda I imagine the answer is no, because they never have anything.

Oh man, those freestyle solo bits are pretty cool, but can sound so bad in the wrong hands!

    Edit.

Not my video. Some guy I found on youtubes.

How much are those bastards Game charging for the guitar and game? I'm tempted to trade a bunch of stuff in and getting it for cheap cash dollar.

@TenderChicken It would have taken you far less time to go to the website and find out than to post that question.

I caved and got it yesterday, feels great being back after probably three or four years since I last played RB3 or Beatles RB.

Also very satisfying nailing everything with gold stars immediately, it's like I never took a break. To be fair I'm a fucking good guitarist in actual life anyway so these games have always been piss, but no end of fun.

Downloaded 190 DLC songs, which is brilliant because the game really does need the DLC because everything I've been forced to play on the on disc set list has been appalling.

One shitter is that there are loads of songs I haven't been able to download even though I know I own them (like SPOONMAN!), read online though that there are still some teething problems so to hold off for now and it should sort itself out. Good!

Until they get the store working properly you will be stuck with the songs that come with the game and there's nothing that great on it if I'm honest.

True, although I have got 190 of the songs I have previously downloaded so not all bad!

Will be good when all the RB1, 2, some of the Lego and Green Day ones are all added though (Green Day are on there but for people who didn't have the game I assume to purchase separately)

@TenderChicken Worst case, trade all your stuff in onto a gift card and spend it online. Not forgetting the cex price match of course.

Yeah, that's my backup plan. Would rather not order anything from their online if it can be helped though.

£110 in-store too... Could get it for about £40 if I trade it some things I have lying about. Although they may be European copies from SimplyGames, so may not scan in their tills.

Having so much fun with this game again, it's so satisfying to increase the difficulty of the tracks after getting back in the swing of it.

Yep, if I can find in a shop today I'm getting this, but stock seems very low for the game only

@TenderChicken you'll definitely be rusty at first but will slip back into it very quickly I think. My first song I got 4 stars on Expert, haven't looked back since!

Cleared off the games I'm playing on home consoles last night but completing them so now this is my sole focus, superb :)
