Registered 20 years agoJust read the match summary. Why, just after Villa went 3- 0 up?

Newcastle pair Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer were sent off in disgrace for fighting during their side's 3-0 home defeat against Aston Villa.
Dyer and Bowyer exchanged blows in the middle of the Newcastle half three minutes after Villa had gone 3-0 up.
The duo had to be separated by Villa goalscorer Gareth Barry and several of their team-mates, though not before Bowyer's shirt had been ripped.
Both will miss the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United on 17 April.
Barry, who scored two penalties to seal Villa's victory, admitted he was stunned to see Bowyer and Dyer brawling on the pitch.
"You don't want to see that happen on the pitch, it's only right to try and break it up," said Barry.
"I've never seen it in a game I've been involved in, there was obviously a lot of frustration boiling over. "

Registered 20 years agoPost match inteview on BBC. Both players apologise but not to each other and don't take any questions. Souness says that Dyer said he did not hit Bowyer so he hopes that maybe Dyer will not get banned. -
Heh, I wonder what set it off. Does Bowyer have a history of this kind of events? I haven't even heard of him before. -

Registered 20 years agoLee Bowyer is fucking scum of the lowest order and shames any club who employs him. -
He must have done a couple of similar things earlier, right? He definitely deserves to get kicked out of the club. -

Shearer decides to stay on for another season, it's a beautiful sunny Spring day with only the formality of beating Aston Villa, to make this a perfect day. What on earth went wrong? I can't be bothered to talk about the game " We were terrible end of story " I won't make any excuses like.... The second penalty (what a fucking shoulder charge) was outside the box. We should of had at least two pens prior to their pen, let's face it shit happens. If one of our players drops a bollock, I give them words of encouragement like " You useless piece of shit, get your fucking act together. " What I witnessed between the ARSEHOLES left me speechless and I wouldn't use their names again in association with Newcastle United. It's a good job Graeme Souness was brought in to stop players misbehaving, if Bobby had still been here they'd of all kicked off.
