Feedback on the Titanfall site forums are mostly negative with many players complaining: It is now just COD with mechs Mechs taking too long to fall. (very big complaint) Wall running limited. Burn cards need to return etc I have to agree with many of the posts I have read (reading) such a shame as Titanfall is a truly brilliant game. See this being a bit of a flop come release. Registered 11 years agoYeah, reddit are petitiononing for the great to be delayed and improved. At this rate it will flop, I hate to say this but black ops 3 has better movement and flow than this and they ripped off titanfall. -
I played last night and decided to cancel my pre order.
The game was good, it just felt too lightweight and the time to kill was seconds, which meant it was who saw the other first. -

I think a lot of people will be cancelling. I'm on the official feedback site and the game is being pulled to bits by nearly ever poster.
I said earlier that it is such a shame. I love Titanfall and have put days into it both on 360 and xb1. I'm so trying to love this game, accepting it is a demo but we all know whatever they want to call it, it is not changing a whole deal before Oct.
Undoubtedly Titanfall is far superior to this game. -

Yep, very much this. Don't play Hardpoint right now as it's terribly unbalanced, you'll hardly see any mechs unless one team is steamrolling, and that smaller of the two maps is way too small for it.
Me and Modo came to the conclusion last night that Hardpoint isn't very good not the game itself. Either the mode needs to be tweaked some more or the maps aren't suited to the mode.
We had a ton of fun on Bounty hunt though and Titans were dropping all over the place.
That same map works beautifully in Pilots, and Bounty Hunt is epic on the other map. Those two modes are much better - Bounty Hunt feels far more like Titanfall of old with more going on thanks to the AI combatants.
I do understand all the complaints people have, lots of tweaks need to happen quickly on it. I saw a post on Reddit that said the original felt like you were in a war, where this just feels like a multiplayer game. I'd definitely agree with that, but I'm hopeful that will be much better in the final release. -
Hardpoint was my favourite mode in the original
Tried the beta of that back in the day and loved it so much that I preordered (and even tried sneaky VPN tricks to get in early)
Don't know if I can even be bothered trying this now. I might as well just wait for the inevitable EA access trial, or even wait for it to turn up in the vault in springtime..

Glad you are having fun.gif)
It is funny you have the "elite" players telling all the other players to "get gud" and then a Titan will drop sooner.
I hate that attitude, I play a lot of Gears, so know it only too well, elitist pricks. As a few (Titanfall) forum members replied, Titanfall is sold on the idea you get to pilot a Mech
In the first game this had no baring on your skill. Everyone got a countdown, obviously if you did well the countdown speeded up, but you knew you would get your titan. Also where is the regenerating shield? -

Yeah looking at reddit and the official site, this does not look good. Lots of people asking for a delay, I really think they should and bring back what made us carry on playing with the first.

Someone put a really good point up that made me laugh. This is set after titanfall 1 and the titans now have no shields and can't dash properly... What? Ha. -

Registered 12 years ago@DUFFMAN5 I'm not 100% convinced, it's just that there's clearly a good game in there if they nail the balance and atmosphere .gif)
Yeah anyone saying that is daft, Titans take way too long to fall - it's not really an arguable point, certainly not in Hardpoint.
Even knowing it was just a beta, I was getting hooked on unlocking upgrades though, so I can see myself being addicted for long enough for the purchase to be worth it. -
For me Titanfall was and still is a great balance of the speed and frenetic gameplay of COD but with the open expanse of Battlefield. The characters and mechs have a nice weight to them and when you nail down the sprint/crouch/jump/sprint technique (Cheers Modo) you ping around the map so fast!
The only real complaint I have so far is with the grappling hook, your character turning sideways instead of carrying on forward/up is counter intuitive and a bit disorientating. -

Registered 9 years agoGave me a headache too fast. Nice graphics though but not my cup of Rosie. -
The two Titans in the beta are clearly anti Titan... Titans. The regular Chaingun Titans are better suited to take down pilots. -

Registered 13 years agoJust tried it and I have to agree. I prefer the first game to this.
They'll tweak it i'm sure, but it seemed slower and the titans (ion) struggled against pilots ffs.
Might be due to titan type as someone said though.
I loved my changun one.
This demo made me want to play the original more tbh. -

Registered 9 years agoCOD with mechs is a good description for this game. For a second I thought I was playing Black Ops which isn't a compliment. Twitchy, crap TTK and the maps didn't really flow that well.
Reading Reddit/forums would lead you to believe most people think the game has taken a massive step back from the original.

Registered 12 years agoHad one game of bounty hunt. S'alright. Finding the parkour a lot more fiddly than I remember, and the ttk is reminding me why I dislike CoD-style games. Probably won't bother. -

Registered 9 years agoThe TTK is ultimately the biggest killer for me. I can't stand it in COD or any other fast patched / twitchy games.
The Homestead map was full of campers last night as well. Sigh
Releasing this game between BF1 and COD was questionable beforehand, after this demo I think less people will be inclined to pick it up day one

Registered 12 years agoWhich can be very annoying in a game where you can get around very quickly, as you'll just end up shot in the back before you have a chance to respond. Also, as killers said, people camping. I played a game and a bit and saw quite a few. -

Registered 9 years agoGames with larger maps and open areas don't suit a TTK like this. Add in character movement that allows you to jump high and wall run then you can't react when caught out by someone.
Ah, I'm having flashbacks to Advanced Warfare.
Also, I could be mistaken here but wall jumping appears to centre your camera which got me killed a few times when i spotted a few enemies on my sides. -

Registered 11 years agoI had a quick go on tf1 earlier to see if I was missing something. Fuck me, the park our/wall running is so smooth on it. Tf2 is dog shit compared to it. Gutted. -
Never had the pleasure of playing TF1. Ive watched a few videos this morning to have a comparison and it does look, play and sound more frantic than this.
