I'm looking to get back into some good anime... been ages since I watched anything decent. Anyone got some recommendations?

Stuff I've watched that I liked:

    Cowboy Bebop
How dare you to have not seen Samurai Champloo!

Ha! Oh yeah, I think I may have watched an episode or two of that (or maybe the entire thing??). Will add it to the list regardless to be sure!

I also remember watching a really good giant robot show where the main guy's mum turned out to be from a parallel universe with blue blood.

Also what's the rule on subs/dubs? I watched Bebop dubbed and it was ace, and I'm pretty sure I watched the old Fullmetal dubbed and that was good too. Same with Evangelion and Death Note.

Take it watching it subbed is the 'proper' way to do it though...

I'm just having this exact conversation somewhere else.
Depends on the show/film, depends on preference to listening/reading, often depends on what you see first and make attachment to.

edit: I also remember enjoying Last Exile years ago, but remember little about the actual plot. maybe someone else can say if it's actually good/bad.

@CosmicFuzz I will continue to pimp Claymore. Also, watch Gurren Lagann and Madoka Magica.

All three of those are very different.

    @CosmicFuzz

    Psycho-Pass

It's on Crunchyroll. A must if you are a fan of Ghost in the Shell and Death Note, as the show offers very similar themes from those shows, especially the former (futuristic, cyberpunk police series with a philosophical nature). Great characters and a thrilling story.

First season is excellent and is one of my favs.

@SpaceMonkey77 thanks man, there are loads on Netflix that I've never heard of before.

Rick and Morty is a show that I've heard loads about but never tried.

You have a habit of hating on every good thing, so please don't watch Rick and Morty.

Watched the first episode of Erased this morning - really good! Can't wait to get stuck into it proper.

Never used Crunchy Roll before until now, and it's great having it on my firestick, but how do they make their money? There were a few ads dotted here and there, but they were for shows on Crunchy Roll rather than outside advertising. Not complaining though!

That 91 Days looked pretty good too.

@CosmicFuzz £5 a month sub fee to get rid of adverts. Money well spent if you ask me.

Oh that's a lot less than I thought it would be... Yeah I'll probably do that.

It is amazing value when I think back on paying £20 a pop for four episodes at a time of Cowboy Bebop!

Berserk has returned for it's second cour, alas a mixed blessing.

Still not great, but it's all new ground for non-manga readers, and it opens with a CLANG.
    Recap 12.5, 13 and 14 already available.

For the rest of the Spring week, it's been pretty........average. Seikasura Koda could be good, Sakura Quest too as long as it treads the SoL path, and doesn't veer towards CGDCT. Few more to launch over the weekend, but it's looking pretty thin.

Thank god for the announcement of yet another sequel - GiTS is getting yet another adaptation. Rumours abound that it'll be a third season continuing SAC, rather than an Arise-style spin. Yay !

Ooh, I'd be well up for a GitS:SAC (teehee) season 3. Fingers crossed.

I finally watched AoT S2E1. That... that was... it was somethin'.

Does anyone have a spare Crunchyroll guest pass?

I let my subscription lapse last month, and there doesn't seem to be anything to my liking this season so far. Plan to watch the second season of AoT when all episodes are available. I really just want to finish off Dragon Maid.

@FrostPan I might, I'll check when I get home this evening.

EDIT Just checked on my phone and I don't have one unfortunately, as I've not yet been re-subbed for a month. If you can hold out for six days I'll have one :p

    @Ror

Ah, thanks for offering! - much appreciated. I think I can hold on, haha.

But I dunno. I'm still deliberating on whether I should subscribe for another month. I was subscribed for 4 months in a row from November last year, so I watched a ton of anime! - very little gaming was committed during that time, which I want to rectify that now. A 48 hour pass is ideal for me to finish off Dragon Maid.

I will probably hold on for now. I will ask you for it via PM in a week. Thanks mate! :)

    \o/

    You are my hero, Graxlar!

    Thank you! :)

@Ror No need to give me your guest pass now. But thank you again anyway!

    Heroes you both are.
