I wouldn't mind seeing Animal Crossing as a launch title as it must be about 3 years since the last one was released. AC feels more at home as a handheld game but that may not be a problem given the suspicions about the NX.

I'd also like to see some smaller, cheaper/shorter 1st party eshop games with established characters or new IP. When they've done that with the Wii U and 3ds it's worked quite well.

Pikmin 4 has to be an NX launch title too - wasn't it over a year ago they said to EG it was basically finished? No reason they'd hold it back otherwise.

We had 3D world, but I'd like a real 3D mario like 64 and galaxy.

Can we drop this shit, it was very much a real 3D Mario game.

@superbob85 Miyamoto said "We're always challenging ourselves to create something new, so hopefully you'll see a new kind of Mario in about a year or two" when he was speaking to IGN with an anticipated reveal "Maybe next E3 we'll be able to share something." So I don't think there will be one at launch.

That said, it doesn't stop them creating a "normal" Mario in between times.

Mario Maker would be a good start.
Maybe chuck in some extra new levels and a few new ideas.

I'd be happy with a handheld that can be used on the tv via a dock or whatever. I actually preferred the DS and 3DS to the wii and wii u.

Bah, nowadays everything gets leaked, we knew pretty much the entirety of every company's E3 in advance, including Nintendo... and nobody still has said anything at all about what the NX will be. It's so unfair.

    Not sure if serious.

You'll have your new Mario 3D/Tennis/Kart/Maker/Paper/Luigi/Wario/Pokemon/Zelda/Pikmin/Metroid/Animal Crossing/Smash Bros and you'll be damn happy that's all you're getting.

But.... but... Bayonetta 3... I hear a distant cry in the distance....

Good morning everyone. Eid Mubarak! I recorded x files earlier and watching that. It's the Tunguska episode.

    Peace ya'll.

Good list of all the games rumoured to be coming for the nx: https://www.finder.com.au/33-games-you-can-expect-for-the-nx-launch-window

Think I'll hold off playing mass effect 3 just in case that trilogy rumour is true.
  • Deleted user 7 July 2016 06:19:18
So from that list the NX may possibly be called the NEX. A bit of a play on the SNES and NES. Nothing like throwing in an X to make things sound futuristic. Or maybe it'll be called New Wii U, as that really helped for the 3ds.

Did they need to patent the bottom half of the DS Lite again?

I do hope the screen remains on the new controller. It doesn't need to be as big as the Gamepad, but it is a nice addition for off-tv play. Hopefully they're keeping the 2nd analog stick in there, too.

I think the concept of the NX being a phone style device are believable. A mobile device that you can link with your main TV to have the home console experience with some sort of base station that the handheld unit docks with.I believe that it may even work as a phone as well...

The ability to link your portable element to other NX's as has been described in filed patents, would include things like multiplayer and Street Pass style interactions. Also utilising multiple NX's to increase local cloud power is an interesting concept and one that would see PokeMon Go! style real life interactions with people, as the big N don't believe that games should be played alone.

I also think that the recent success of Pokemon Go! was very much a "dipping the their toes in the water" experiment and that they will incorporate elements like this into the NX portable experience. Imagine Pikmin in your own garden using the same game-play mechanic as Pokemon go! Its not the pikmin garden in game, its your own environment using AR. This sounds very Nintendoish, especially if they incorporate the "Health Monitoring" stuff they have banded about for a while.

Ok, thats enough of my brain falling out..
