Come on that shit was announced over a year ago thereís no excuse to it not being ready now.

I mean itís not like thereís much to it beyond rehashing old mechanics and making up a new storyline.

Whatever man. Call it Stockholm Syndrome or whatever you like, but I've been playing Nintendo consoles for years and have never known a time where their games *weren't* delayed. Nintendo (or IS) is going to be Nintendo. I knew this when I got the Switch.

I'm probably too-easily pleased, I know. And I'm sure that the new Fire Emblem won't rock the boat too much, but I don't really mind that.

I do wish their E3 presentation had more for everyone though.

Just because it didn't show up at e3 doesn't mean it's a hoax.

I see Hollow Knight is out now, and reasonably priced (£10.99). Am I right in thinking I might be better off waiting for Dead Cells?
I played a little of Hollow Knight just now and I really like it. It seems more like a metroidvania whereas Dead Cells is a rogue/souls like. I love 2d platforms and so far Hollow Knight is ticking the right boxes for me. It's also jumped straight into number 2 in the online store charts.

Btw the list fucking sucks if you have any other console or a PC.

Luckily every Switch owner has a "huge backlog" so everything is fine.

What was the outcome from the Mario Tennis Aces beta thingy?, any good/worth preordering or wait for reviews?

    @Ultrasoundwave

It was generally well received but questions remain over the quality of the online play. Some people had loads of lag and it worked great for some people. On the whole it looks to be a good game, as long as you like Mario Tennis.

Bit of a worry that 2 of the best things on that list are dlc.

And the matchmaking better sharpen up. I kept running into rainmen with a billion points who already seemed to know the game inside out.

Looks like it will be a good party game but the online looks like it will be a complete pain in the arse.

Fortunately Nintendo and other Switch publishers have shown over the last 18 months there's plenty of scope to announce and quick-release software outside of E3.

Unless people think E3 info = every game for the year announced.

The problem is Nintendo have the wiiu in recent memory for a lot of people. Where they left 13 million people with fuck all to do for long periods.

I was never that bothered by Nintendo's lack of software, it's been the way literally forever so shouldn't really surprise anyone. When something cool comes out, brilliant. I'll buy it, play it, then play on some other device until the next release.

All that said I've not yet felt short of software on Switch, and I don't really feel like I will be for a while. I've got 3 games preordered for the next two weeks so they'll keep me busy for a good while on their own.

I don't want to attack your discipline, my dear monkman, but in this particular case, the only correct answer is: both, eventually.

splosh is entirely correct (Metroidvania vs Roguelike), but I would argue that the Souls influence is much stronger in Hollow Knight (starting with the game's name).

Mind, I've only played HK briefly since I patiently waited for the Switch version (for once).

Anyway, both have a 5-digit number of reviews on Steam with a positive rating around 95%. Both are exceptional, and extra-ordinarily well received, games.
