Dead Cells is out on 7 August and will be $20 (which is including a 20% preorder discount). So hopefully under £20.
It's there already. Little under £18.

    Can't bloody wait.

Aye, with the 20% discount. It's a £22.49 RRP, which is a little more than we were expecting. Get in there while the offer's on, I guess! :)

I feel like us londoners should meet up. If only to give Phattso a big hug and tell him the Rabbids DLC isn’t all he thought it would be.

It's something even greater than that. Honestly, I can see it going down in history as the single greatest example of DLC ever made. It takes a great game and turns it into an all-time classic. Definitely one of those "I was there" gaming moments. Absolute genius.

We could bring our switches and let him play for an hour before we go home.

Switch needs more racing games. There's fackin nothing worthwhile outside of Mario kart really. Can't be arsed firing mine up at the moment. I'm back on my ps3 playing motorstorm and GT6. Guess I'm having a driving craving at the moment and would like a decent game that doesn't feature Mario and karts.

You can get it cheaper than that although yes still overpriced. I did have it pre ordered for £615 but could of gone cheaper if I went the foreign route. Still a lot of cash though.

Mine should be here in the next day or so, £530 from AliExpress but could get hit by customs too.

You’d save all of that on the cost difference of Skyrim on PC vs Switch alone :-)

Yep. Still rather miffed that the Burnout Paradise remaster didn't make it to the Switch.

Agree about the lack of racing games. I want the F1 game on Switch.

It wouldn't be great with the non-analogue triggers tbh.

My main concern is the noise the fan supposedly makes. Don't want to look like a dick on the train.

That is the downside to racing games on Switch, but I think they're the only genre that really benefits from analogue triggers. I suppose you could use the right analog stick for acceleration, like in the old PS2 days, but that still doesn't really compare.

Has anyone played the Moto GP game on Switch? I know the Switch has seen a couple of dirt bike games, but apparently they're not the greatest of ports.

Gear.Club Unlimited is decent, but it's over-priced. It was a free-to-play mobile game with the free-to-play stuff all ripped out and progression levelled out so there's no real grind required, but they did make an effort to make it feel like a proper console game. Sure, this effort isn't always successful, but they tried.

As far as the gameplay goes though, it's a decent arcade racer (which also means the triggers work fine), and there's lots of content there if you enjoy it, but it just isn't quite varied or engaging enough to justify full price. £10-15 feels about right to me.

Well, it's the downside to sim-ish racing games specifically. Not being able to feather the throttle out of a corner would take away a lot of the F1 games, I'm not even sure how they could do it. Something like Burnout Paradise would be fine though, as mentioned above.

Is there any sane explanation as to why they chose not to have analog triggers? I love Nintendo but it's just another of their totally illogical god awful decisions. I mean they could at least have had them on the pro controller.

I guess I am kinda defending them, but the only racing games that require them are racing sims. They're not really essential and I'd argue that they are a detriment to most other genres.

    Edit for typos!

True. It just seems like an unnecessary cut, even if they're just useful for a fraction of the games possible. I mean, there are already 2 clicky buttons above them. Anyroads.

If Codemasters have got any sense they’ll be working on an Onrush port for Switch - it’s not massively taxing graphics-wise and it could definitely find an audience there.
