I guess as I've been playing quite a few racers recently it made me realise it's an area that is lacking. Trackmania, Motorstorm trilogy, GT6, dirt, dirt rally etc. There's plenty of multi plat games that could be ported though. |

Registered 11 years agoFor the people wondering about joycons/warranty etc, a mate of mine sent his Switch off to be repaired because the left hand side of the screen was flickering. They quoted him £53 but I told him beforehand to hit 'em with the Sale of Goods Act and/or this standard 2 year EU warranty. He did and now he's getting it fixed for nowt. -

Registered 3 years agoIf you bought it from Amazon, they seem to just check a new console at you immediately and just ask that you return the faulty parts with whichever console you're not using. That's how it worked with me 13 months down the line. -

Registered 12 years agoSo I was trying to get me some Bomb Chicken (love those Nitrome guys), but the Switch says my credit card is not valid, and even Paypal gives a generic error message.
I know my card is fine, because I've just bought something else off Ebay and paid with Paypal without a hitch.
I'll give it a few days and try again, but stuff like this always makes me worried. -

There are tons of local coop games on Switch, which makes me so happy, but surprisingly few online coop, so I've plumped for The Escapists 2. No real reason, just for lack of choice. Hope it's good. -

Registered 12 years agoOr a version of dirt rally.. even the PS1 version would do.. hello retroarch oo and you could also play wipeout too.
But yeah native version of the F1 game would make me beyond happy. -

Registered 14 years agoTony Hawks 2/3 or Skate on the Switch would be amazing, but will never happen. I know we're talking racers but the thought of a handheld "doss about" game like the above is something I'd definitely be into. -

Registered 8 years agoI would be all over Destruction Derby on the Switch... outstandingly fun pick up and play. I was hoping that new spiritual successor to DD was Switch bound, but alas it is not -

Wreckfest? Needs analogue triggers. And reasonably beefy hardware. I really don't see it running on a Switch, at all. There are 24 cars on the tracks, with complex physics.

I've been saying long enough that I would settle for a port of the 3DS version! That game sold me a 3DS in the first place.

They should get a flatout game on the switch. I've only played the 2nd one but it was a good laugh. -

You sure? I bought from the South African eshop recently, used my Llotds credit card and got charged GBP equivalent of the SA Rand price. Didn't even get hit with a foreign transaction fee. I created a SA user profile to do it.

Registered 11 years agoI think that only works in Europe and South Africa. US, Mexico and Canada you have to buy the ecards or whatever they’re called. -

Registered 15 years agoYeah, I've bought from the Russian store before, but wasn't sure if the same method would work with the Canadian store.
The Norwegian store seems to have the best European price, just over £30. Though tbh once you factor in the exchange rate and gold points (which I'm guessing you don't earn for purchases from different regions), it probably isn't worth the bother. -

@IronGiant Is it just me or does anyone else find it depressing when you read comments like the above?
I’m a 36 year old single man loving the Nintendo Switch 😆 oh dear.
