Lol at the double tease. Could imagine quite a few being angry that it was just a smash announcement for a moment there

Now that was a great direct!

I thought the console had no games but I want:

    The world ends with you
    Star link
    Diablo 3
    Carcassonne
    Pandemic
    Smash
    Civ 6

    All out before years end...

    Then there's

Final fantasy galore this and next year.
    Yoshi
    Animal crossing
    Pokemon full fat rpg
    Bayonetta 3
    Metroid 4

And who know what else coming beyond this year!

    Goose game
    Luigis mansion 3

Too many to remember them all...

That was good. I'll be snapping up Yoshi, Animal Crossing and Luigi's Mansion 2 next year.

As for this year, I'm still set in stone with purchases, but Starlink looks pretty good. City Skylines is on my radar as well, but will wait for reviews on that one. Performance could be choppy.

I'm also probably going to be a sucker for those NES Joy Con. I hope they work whilst connected to the console.

So fucking next year before I buy another switch game, ffs. Don't think I've bought a single retail game this year for it. And only bought hollow knight full stop.

@ChiefGB Ooph. If the wait is that long, is it really worth it? I have the complete opposite issue at the moment. If it had not been for the 10 game challenge thread, I'd probably have bagged another 25 Switch games by the year's end.

Assassins Creed Odyssey is coming to Switch in Japan as a stream-only title. They did the same with Resi 7 a number of months back. It'll be interesting to see whether or not that service leaves Japan.

Not that Assassin's Creed Does anything for me at all.

Some decent stuff coming but it's all next year for me. I've Forza and RDR2 to keep me occupied for this year so not too fussed. Might get megaman 11.

Why is the main mode of Mario party not online by now? Ffs that would be great online.

Mario Party is the sort of game that appeals to me more now than it used to but all my gaming friends are long distance and my better mates don't have a Switch. I can't imagine it being near the same without playing local multiplayer.

I had the same issue with Invisible Inc. (although that took loads of runs before I finally completed it).
I think you get more stars for unlocking more mech squads on higher difficulty levels.

I finished it on Easy by accident and then went back to Normal and it feels a lot more manageable now anyway. Have finished it twice on Nornal since.

Nah, there's only one achievement coin that's tied to difficulty (finish the game on Hard). The rest can be gotten at any difficulty.

Though again you'll want to be eventually trying it on at least Normal, because Easy is not the game at its best.

I would imagine it is down to length of each game. Canít see why they canít design smaller boards specialised for online play or something though.

Are you all really that excited by FF ports?

No new IPs, no first party releases, nothing till 2019?

I like my switch but nothing in that Direct is particularly exciting or unexpected.

Luigis mansion and yoshi look good but thats about it. I still see we are being swamped in ports. Such a poor year on Switch and another bad direct

Ah okay. Think I'm getting confused with multi-island completion then, which does give extra coins right?

Yeah this was my reaction. Not particularly keen on the Nintendo franchises they're releasing so I'll probably be sticking to Indies on the eShop.

Not that I've finished Zelda or Mario yet anyway...

Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem are my two most played series, so I'm very happy we're getting both in 2019. That's all I need really.

And that Yoshi game looks cute as heck too. :)

I was accidentally playing it on hard and scrapping through the first island... put it on Normal and it seems a lot easier

I once put it on Norma, at first she didn't like the feel of my sack on her forehead, but she got used to it pretty quick.

A shame Civ got leaked last week, that and Cities Skylines really give the switch a snes vibe.

Though CS looks like it runs pretty poorly, hope they can make it run better with some patches. Though i be quite happy with a port of Sim City 4 or 3000 to be fair.
