@CosmicFuzz you will miss some stuff, but I think they are funny enough to stand alone.

Do you need to have watched South Park much to enjoy the games? I'm guessing I'll be missing out on a whole bunch of jokes?
I wouldnít say so. I donít want South Park and enjoyed the humour and jokes of the first game.

What about needing to have seen Game of Thrones? It clearly references it in FBW.

Don't take the piss, I sent the link to my mum and she described it as a "really stylish and swish clutch bag" .

@The_Goon not really. I guess it helps if you at least know the South Park characters, but everything else is a riff on RPGs and fantasy in general.

hmmm. Ran out of space on my wish list. I can't add anymore! I've been using it to add any game that remotely interest me. The sheer volumes of games coming out meant it was a good way to help remember games that look remotely decent.

They really need to add some kind of changelog for patches.

@JoelStinty that's for system updates. I was thinking about game patches.

Something like the PS4 system would be nice.

It's not quite the same thing, but if you're following the right news channels on the OS, most games detail any major updates there. All the first party and major third party games tend to, anyway. A few indie games do as well.

A lot of games have their own channels you can subscribe to.

By the way, for those who don't know, you can get 50 Gold points for every physical purchase. Just press '+' on the game's icon, and select the option.

I just saw that the latest Just Dance has released on the Wii! I'd love to know these sales figures that make it worth still putting out.

@BigOrkWaaagh they even released it on the 360, and it requires Kinect.

(I'm probably the only person in the world who still has the 360 Kinect connected, but I prefer Dance Central)

Finally started playing Celeste using the pro controller until I snapped, the d-pad was constantly registering diagonal jumps when I just wanted to go straight up or across. Found some guides, solution is to put a bit of tape under the peg in the centre of the d-pad. Took me an hour though because the guides tell to put 4 layers of tape, but 2 layers was enough for me. Itís perfect now, still a hard game though. I died 366 times in the hotel level. Am I near the end because my hands hurt.

@Fake_Blood I have a pro controller and an 8bitdo one and can't play platformers using either for this very reason... Personally I love and have no issues using the Joycons. Give them a go.

Nah the hotel level is nowhere near the end really. Also there's a lot of post game content to look forward to! I ran in to the same issue with the pro controller, personally I played almost all of the game either handheld or on the big screen with the joy-con adapter controller.

@PazJohnMitch specifically, you get 5% of the official retail price back in gold coins. For example, Lego City Undercover, which cost 60 euro at launch, gave me 300 gold coins.

This only works for 2 years since the game's official launch date though. Not a problem yet, of course, but in just a few months, some launch games should not give out gold points anymore.

There's a new Switch out with a Mario Kart Deluxe download code in for free - it's the usual RRP of 280 quid.

It's going to fly off the shelves.

Spent more time playing the new Pokemon than I have red dead redemption 2.

The Switch just has the care free enjoyment Iím looking for after a heavy day in the office, where as games like red dead are strenuous, chore like slogs for people without a job.

    Bring on smash bros

    Completely agree.

I've had a hard day at work I'm now chilling playing online Mario Kart.

Don't care what place I come as long as I beat Waluigi!

@Fake_Blood I'm on the hotel level. Played entirely in handheld using the joycon analogue stick.

Although that's probably half my total death count so far with 30-odd strawberries.

    Analogue? You animal!
Seriously though, my tape mod seems to have worked, had 100 fewer deaths on the level after the hotel. I'm at around 30 strawberries too, have given up on them tbh right now, maybe on a second playthrough.
