    Anyone here tried Hard West? It's totally my kinda thing, but not knowing how well/badly the Switch version runs is preventing me from pulling the trigger. That 33% off sure is tempting though.
    If anybody else is wondering (looks like I'm the only one though), NintendoLife's review claims it's

    ... a port that runs super smooth on Switch Ė both in handheld and docked modes
    Given how badly Wasteland 2 runs on the Switch, that's a big relief.

    Yeah, I liked it enough to finish it (which is saying a lot), but my god Wasteland 2 on Switch was terrible in a technical sense.

    I've... never heard of Hard West before, but it looks exactly like my kind of thing. I'm not seeing it on the Australian eShop though - hopefully it's just a minor delay.

    I refunded Hard West on Steam at the time. I don't quite remember why, it wasn't terrible, but it didn't grab me, and I wasn't fond of the supernatural elements in a Wild West setting.

    Yeah, maybe it won't be that great. But (aside from Mario Rabbids and Into the Breach) it's pretty slim pickings for tactics games on the Switch at the moment. I'll take what I can get.

    It reviewed pretty well on PC, but I guess the combination of tactical gameplay, wild west setting, and supernatural stuff isn't going to be to everyone's tastes. EG's review of the PC version seems to go into a fair bit of detail about its flaws whilst being positive about the game generally, but this obviously doesn't cover the expansion (which is included in the Switch version).

    Seems worth a punt at the current price.

    This arrived. Would have preferred a plain one, but this was the lesser evil.

    I got the red Mario one. I'm pretty sure they do a plain royal blue though?

    If they do, it wasn't available on Amazon. Shame too, as it's replacing my blue left joy con.

    It actually looks alright on the system though, thanks to the dark bezel around the screen.

    I tested the dpad in the controller test and everything works as expected. Did some fireball drills in BBTAG, and it feels great. I'm absolutely chuffed :)

    I bought the official fluorescent ones yesterday. Actually look better than I was expecting. (All because the left stick drift had become unbearable. Need to take the old one apart and clean it).

    I did exactly the same for the that reason. I didnít realise the left stick drift was a common issue (and can be fixed?)

    I didn't realise how much I appreciated it until I just now tried to play Tetris on the TV with the original joy cons.

    Question for those of you with the Starlink digital game (rather than the Plastic Tat edition). Looking at the eShop listing for the £22 non-deluxe offer, it seems to me like there's more there than in the £18 retail edition (although strangely no mention of Fox McCloud). Is it more, or is it the same?

    And were I to buy the Plastic Tat Edition, can I ignore the tat (and just sell it all on when I'm done)?

    Sorry for question deluge. :)

    @Phattso I thought it contained more too, but couldn't seem to find the answer.

    Heh. Annoying! It looks like it contains more pilots and more weapons. Which is to say enough weapons and peeps to finish the game without micro transaction rage. :)

    @Phattso

    https://m.uk.ign.com/wikis/starlink-battle-for-atlas/Physical_vs_Digital_Version_Comparisons

    Says digital version does indeed have more stuff.

    Physical had Starwing, Joy-Con shell, two pilots, two weapons (IGN says one digital as well?). Fox was a pilot.

    I think itís some great plastic tat having the physical version. Only having two guns annoyed me a bit though. And buying extras is really expensive.

    Iím pretty sure a few people completed it fine with two though.

    @macmurphy ah, superb. The listing on the eShop seemed to have less than IGN list, I think, but now I have something tangible to compare against I shall look again. Thanks!

    Is it just me or is the Switch part of the forum a bit... dead now?

    Lack of releases? People bored of their Switches?

    Speaking of Starlink plastic tat, Iíve picked up the base game for my sons birthday and was going to grab a weapon pack (£5 on Amazon). Can anyone recommend the best one to get?

    Donít think Iíll bother with other ships or pilots though...

    @Ienjoysquid

    Lack of things I want to play at the moment for sure. Donít think itís a total lack of releases tho, just not much to my taste.

    There's still stuff coming out, but it depends on how much of it is worthy of chat. I'm still deep into Trials Rising at the minute, so that's all my gaming time consists of. Baba is You is out in a few days though. :)

    Edit - Major typos in that one. Sorry!
