I can't for the life of me understand how anyone could find it boring, but hey ho.
Walk into room. Hold button to win. Collect loot. Walk into next room press a few buttons to give variety. Hold win button. Collect loot. Repeat multiple times. Put on new loot. Repeat a few more times and level up. Change powers to try and find something less tedious. Repeat until credits roll.

My experience as a necromancer on highest available difficulty.

But seriously, at that point you've barely even started. I mean, if you're not feeling it you're not feeling it, but the game only really starts getting hard when you've gotten yourself to 70 and have cranked up the difficulty.

Worldís shittest and most tedious tutorial of all time. One which highlighted how poor the Primary Gameplay Loop is.

I'm with PJM. If everything up to level 70 is the tutorial then it's the longest, most boring tutorial in all of gaming.

But to say that the game is too easy or just a button masher, is just categorically wrong. It gets extremely difficult, you can push as high as you want to go. And each level requires better optimisation, better gear, and in turn rewards you with even better stuff. It's a never ending feedback loop of killing things and shiny trinkets, and with friends it's even better.

If this does not appeal to you, fair enough. The game's probably not for everyone. But don't say there's no depth if you've only ever scratched the surface.

    It's a very deep and one-note surface, is what we're saying. :)

Diablo 3 is all about finding the most efficient way to gain loot. As a matter of fact, even after you get to level 70, you should still only increase the difficulty up to the point where you find a good ratio between wiping out the enemies in a comfortably short time, while still maximizing the amount of drops and exp you get. Crank the difficulty up too far, and even if you can survive, you'll still take too long to kill enemies, which means less loot. As you get new items, you can turn the difficulty up further, but simply saying "I can barely survive Torment 10, so that's what I should play on!" is not a good way to go at it.

Unfortunately it takes a very long while to reach the point where legendaries drop at a regular rate, which is when the game actually gets interesting. If the primary gameplay loop isn't fun to you, no reason to stick with it for so many hours.

Yeah the gameplay loop is quite simple but it is oh so satisfying (to me at least) destroying hordes upon hordes of a wide variety of demon spawn!

Enough for me to play for 40 or so hrs at least.

I don't even want to know how many hours I've spent on D3. And that was mostly spent on one class. I've probably spent at least 40 hours just running around as an exploding chicken.

I find the game play loop very satisfying. It's bit for everyone, but I really rather enjoy it.

It's all about adventure mode though, the story mode is pants.

PJM's description isn't innacurate, I guess, but I don't think it sounds negative. You can distill most games to pithy descriptions like that.

    I think I'll wait...

I get bored very easily nowadays so fear this will be a waste of £30. Maybe when I'm through my backlog and it's a bit cheaper.

Dialo 3 is just pure crack. I'd agree it is anything but easy. Running a greater rift at 80+ is a nightmare.

I finally got bored of it a couple of months ago, but I've ploughed maybe 500 hours into the game on PC and Switch.

I stacked a few coupons on Amazon to grab a 128GB card for cheap. That should be my storage sorted out for a while.

    @DangerousDave_87 Late reply, sorry!

Fair point about Rabbids, as that is a good price. And having looked through the full list, Valkyria 1 and Freedom Planet for under £8 a pop are both quite tempting.

    Yeah itís not bad...

I think Iíve done over £200 hours and still enjoying it. Not much story and a bit murky in the beginning (it doesnít explain much) and it can be a right bastard in places, but itís a lot of fun.

Anyway, Iíve the last third of BBI to delve into...

I hope you can't use two of the same names on that discord swapsies thread. I joined ages ago, but I've not participated in a single trade (yet).

Get in! Stage 3 boss beaten in StS with The Silent. Had a beast of a poison deck with a triple your poison card and a play your next 2 skills twice card... Was still close at the end (6 life remaining)!

I think there's a link in the Swapsies thread. It's not part of the official Discord.
