    Anyone playing Mario Tennis?

The 'Simple' gameplay with all the ridiculous zone/special/trick shots turned off plays like a dream (in all honestly it seems very similar to the GC version). Love it.

It's a shame all the single player content is all to do with the 'special' shots. Seems a bit daft that you can't play a 3 or 5 set match too - think Nintendo underestimated the appetite a lot of people have for a 'regular' tennis game.

If there were more options for 'simple' tennis games I'd probably take the plunge on the strength of the gameplay alone (and multiplayer).
I recently built a Retropie and have been playing Smash Tennis on the SNES and Jennifer Capriati Tennis on the MegaDrive, both great games from my youth! Brilliant pick up and play tennis, no silly stuff. I'll have to give Mario Tennis a blast on the Switch and see what's up.

Would probably buy more games on Switch if there were demos/trial versions...

Can anyone recommend a grip with its own stand? The built in one is proper shit.

I just use the official zip case stand. Works well enough the few times I've used it.

@GuybrushFreepwood I've not played it yet, but I'm sure there's a motion control mode. I swear I've seen Reggie play against one of those American late night chat show hosts on YouTube, somewhere.
Yup, itís possible. ĎSwing modeí or something. Been enjoying the Ďtrickyí players like Boo. They get some nice swazz on their charged shots.

Finished UA3. Like others have said, won't win any awards, but it was very enjoyable. Surprised I got to the end considering games in general struggle to hold my attention these days.

Great voice acting and production values with solid gameplay. Combat reminded me heavily of Ys series on Vita.

I thought that until I played with some friends. It started off really fun, but before too long, the atrocious camera got bad enough to ruin any enjoyment of the game.

Not exactly the right place but, I got my mini SNES out yesterday and itís stuck with a red light. Iíve seen itís a side effect of the tinkering Iíve done on it. Bit annoying as Iíve not touched it since release and Iíve brought it away to play whilst on holiday 😑

@ChiefGB shame itís broken on you. The Switch has been great for me on a holiday with the in-laws. Itís let me run off to a little technical bubble of my own and forget all the stressy family crap.

I really wish there was a portable/cheap dock I could take on holiday. I'm minded to take my proper dock but not sure I want to risk breaking it in transit. Would be decent to hook it up to the TV at the hotel for some family play time/Mario Party if it's raining.

I think you can still get a case that the innards of the dock fit into. Obviously you'd void warranty.

To be fair if you get a decent padded carry case or just wrap it in a jumper youíll be fine. Stick it on your hand luggage if youíre worried. I know what you mean though. I sometimes want to take it to a mateís house. A cheap 30 quid dock would be great. Or just the wires really - HDMI and power. I could live without USB as I can always use another charger.

Not gonna lie, the camera is really bad, I especially love when one your team members goes down in a blind spot and you just cannot see them

Mostly still fun though, I hope there is a bit of depth to it though otherwise it will over stay itís welcome pretty quickly.

    A ninja warriors reboot.

    http://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/nintendo-switch/ninja_saviors_return_of_the_warriors

Really tempted by this. I had the original on the Amiga and it was the first game I was obsessed with. Like I could think of nothing else at school but getting home and playing this.

30 bucks seems a bit much though, especially as the original came out a month or so back on the hamster re-release.

Probably do my usual sale whoring though.

Since some of you weirdos avoid the front page. I canít see this meaning anything but SNES games coming to online which is pretty exciting. NES games left me cold but the chance to play Some original super Mario Kart online would be awesome.

Finally! Although I love the NES stuff. Shame the Mega Man and Castlevania games were missing (although they're still available to buy). Not sure I'll go as far as to pick up the SNES controllers, but I'll sink hundreds of hours into the same old stuff I've been revisiting for decades.

Yeah. Iím a lot more interested in the SNES back catalogue than the N64 one. I think 2D games havenít aged as badly.

Someone said that they would be unlikely give stuff like a Link to the Past away free when they could do things like the Awakning update, but then someone else pointed out that actually on the first birthday of the service a lot of subscriptions will be due to lapse and so Nintendo will come out swinging to keep momentum and stop people leaving.

Makes sense but you never know with Ninty. I honestly havenít touched the NES games but there are a lot of SNES titles that stand up today.

Also with the games as services model that other companies are hoovering cash up from, it makes sense that Nintendo have committed to online an donít want lose that revenue.

Now if only they could make it less shit. Throbbers.

Stick a book in the slot. It'll stop it getting squashed.

Tiered subscription I reckon. Discount on SNES tier if you renew in the first month.
