Played under 5 hours docked. So about 99% portable.

50/50. Was a lot more handheld originally, but I seem to be getting more access to the TV these days :-)

I'd say 99% portable too. It's a handheld console for me - if I've got access to the TV, I'll play something on PS4 usually.

95% portable for me for this same reason.

100% docked. I've had eye surgery this summer and waiting for the other eye to be done so I only have distance vision for the moment so it's only docked on the big telly for me for now.

I played docked when I can so the split is probably 75%/25%.

I'm actually planning on getting a Lite still though, I think it'll be more comfy for me portably and I take my Switch to work every day to play at lunch and always on the train etc.

GRID:Autosport will be released on 19th September*

I really want this to be good, but will wait for reviews, I think...

    * Isn't that the same day as Zelda: Link's Awakening?

99% docked for me, can't remember the last time I played handheld... did a bit in the early days but the novelty wore off. I buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games primarily, so for me it's Nintendo's home console that can be played handheld for those that want to.

I find they "if I want to play on the TV I'll play on the PS4" argument incredibly odd.

    Why?

My gaming time on the TV is very limited, but I tend to use my Switch daily on my commute. So if I have the chance to use the TV, then I'll use the PS4...

As such my Switch use is pretty much 100% portable

Massively docked for me too. Find playing handheld hurts the hands or is hard to see. I seem to mostly play rocket league or Paladins or similar things where a big screen and a Pro Pad is a huge plus.

See I bought the Switch mostly to play quality indie games and some big budget games on the go. Horses for courses innit.

@ChiefGB If I were looking for Shadowrun for my Snes Mini where might I find it? Of course I clearly own the cartridge. (Well 1990's me does)

On a side note. Anyone had any experience with the LDK Game? I'm considering it.

70/30 in favour of docked for me. Starting to use portable a bit more of late though.

90/10 in favour of portable for me. Same reasoning as others pretty much - if I have access to the TV, I'll almost certainly play something on the PS4. I can play my Switch on my commute; I can't play my PS4 on my commute. And why would I compromise on visuals on a big screen especially when the games are available for both formats? Rocket League performs awfully on the Switch in comparison to the PS4, for example.

    EDIT: Leet post count!

I've played through the first (proper) chapter of Celeste this evening. Nails hard, but pretty cool.

Do the later chapters just get more and more challenging? I'll keep going, but I don't think I could do 10 hours of the same...

@Flying_Pig each chapter relies on some new gimmick. The game does get a bit harder, but not that much overall, it's more about learning to use the gimmick for that stage.

Also, the hardest rooms are usually the optional ones with strawberries. And the tapes - you could probably just avoid those.

Yeah the main path through Celeste is not that hard. (Certainly not easy but very doable). Getting strawberries adds a layer of challenge on top. B sides are properly hard though.

I play about 90/10 portable. But that's about an hour or so in bed, not on transport or anything.

@Flying_Pig don't forget if you do struggle you can change the way the game plays to help...

Iíve reached the end of the DQ XI demo after 5 hours. Iím not sure where people were getting 10 hours from unless they fought single single monster they saw?

    @Dazimus

    Took me 8 hours.

How many people are in your party? (You can reach the end of the demo without recruiting everyone available).

I was enjoying it so ground out a few levels, probably a few more than I needed to (though I was playing with harder monsters, so it was also kinda necessary). I'm sure you could get through in 5 hours if you didn't bother with that.
