You can get a printer for the Switch?

I thought Nintendo gave up on that idea with the Gameboy Pocket.

I was sent a job spec by a recruiter asking if I wanted to install/troubleshoot printers. I can't think of a worse job in I.T.

So is this Goose game any good? I love the idea of being a dick as a goose - sounds hilarious. Don't love the idea of shelling out a decent amount for a wank game.

It's good fun, especially in a social environment, but you will complete it within 2-3 hours. If you like the idea of a Hitman-lite, with no punishment for failure, then you'll absolutely enjoy it.

    Goose is good.

Big downside is that given the short play time pretty much the entire of the game has been spoiled on YouTube.

No one video I saw beforehand had spoiled the entire thing but having seen a few reviews a large chunk of it had been spoiled due to the capture footage the YouTubers chose being successful puzzle solving segments not just videos of them being an annoying jerk of a goose.

Oh great, the snes controllers will be back in stock in ďearly 2020Ē. Iím sure this has to do with that great plastic and Bluetooth chip shortage we keep hearing about, and is in no way related to the fact that you can only buy them with a nintendo online subscription, which launched on 19sept 2018 so a lot of people will have to make the choice to renew it in the coming weeks.

Nintendo are diabolical fiends but their games are so good I don't care.

Dead Cells is very good, isn't it? Managed to beat the first three bosses tonight. Tempted to go again, but work. And life. And stuff.

The first three bosses? Isn't that all of them? I mean, aside from the post-end content.

    I thought the same.

Although the are 4 bosses in the base game. You just cannot fight more than 3 of them in a single run.

Possibly he means the minibosses that guard the various runes.

I havenít beaten a single boss. In fact only made it to the first boss once in about 20 tries.

I suck at this game my reactions just not good enough :-)

I've never beaten the final boss in 40 hours of playing. In fact I've only reached them once...

Took me over 50 runs to beat him. Was getting to the boss fairly regularly near the end but he completely destroyed me on all the other attempts.

My successful run put the majority of buffs in traps. This made the levels harder but the bosses far easier.

I only beat him by picking my weapons/abilities based on the defence they provide as opposed to the attack.

I appreciate that in the newest (?) update, they added mini versions of the bosses throughout the stages, so you can practice dodging their attacks without having to play for an hour beforehand. It's not enough to get me back to the game (I have ever so much else to play that I enjoy more), but it is nice.

In around 20 or so hours, I got to him twice, and defeated him the second time. I couldn't be bothered to try and learn his patterns, since getting to him takes too long. So I just put everything into Brutality, and he died in a few hits.

Now, for some reason, after redownloading the game from the Windows store, my savedata is gone. I thought cloud saving was a normal thing in this day and age, but nothing surprises me anymore. So I guess that's that for me.

Talking of bosses, I defeated the Last Knight in Hollow Knight after 4 more tries. It turns out that approaching the encounter in a calm manner, taking time to read the attack tells and waiting for the right moment to attack is helpful. I'm not sure that I get a lot out of this sort of scripted choreography but I can see why others enjoy it.

So I was going to pick up Bastion and Transistor from the sale. By not buying thenm, it makes my Witcher 3 preorder five pounds cheaper. That's how it works isn't it?

The Hollow Knight bosses are all about staying alive until you get an opening. Most have about 4 different attacks that they do randomly at each stage of the fight.

(Exact opposite of Dead Cells which is easier if you stack one stat bonus and then just wail on the boss quickly with the appropriate attack type).

Oh. I see. Maybe I mean two, then? I might be confusing/blurring runs. I ended up dying in a fancy looking castle on my final attempt last night.

I didn't fight any mini-bosses, but I did fight a number of 'elite' enemies. They were quite painful, but I had a decent secondary on that final run that did all the work for me.

I get the impression I was playing the game quite slowly though. It took about an hour to get as far as I did and I never managed to unlock those bonus doors for clearing areas quickly.

Edit - Oh wait. Maybe I did fight a mini-boss. The git that got me had me trapped within the boundaries of the screen and was doing some other kind of damage to me that could kill me, even if I still had health. I had a key on me at the time, for what good that is.

    @DangerousDave_87

The first door for 2 minutes is really easy, even I manage to do it most runs now, just speed through as fast as you can ignoring the bulk of enemies, only stopping if you see a chest or a power up.

@DangerousDave_87 it's always worth speedrunning the first level so you can unlock the first door. It usually contains a very strong weapon, which will allow you to take your time on the second level and still get the second door too. That will also contain some powerful items, so by that point you should be set for a while.

A successful run is a little over 1 hour long, fully exploring each level. (If you take the top path). Sounds like you might have reached the final area and boss.

I found taking the first level really slowly and opening the flawless door was easier / more beneficial than speed running as you get the power ups in the level in addition to the weapon behind the door.

Iím not a dead cells expert but a site I read recommended against the speed runs. You might end up with a good weapon but you miss out on all the scrolls which bump up your health gauge and all the cells and money which will let you buy extra health and perks.

I never speed run. Iím pretty shot at games TF and I get by, mostly by making sure I get every scroll and can afford to buy weapons. I just chuck traps and hide like a bitch on most of my runs, pretty sure taking your time and getting all the cells to level up long term and get a big health bar in the short term is key.
