    @macmurphy I want to try this, but 2 objections:

    1.) There's complete dissonance between the moralistic virtues if the good guys in this and the company's recent practices, and;
    2.) Isn't the performance of Switch not up to scratch? As in, it plays better on handheld than docked?

    I honestly couldnít give a shit about Blizzardís PR aspects. Loads of companies do moody stuff. Theyíve made some bad decisions later but they walked back on the Hong Kong thing.

    Theyíve made a good game and brought it to the Switch, Iíd like to encourage more of that by buying it.

    It plays absolutely fine. Great graphics, runs like a dream. Docked and handheld. I think the only people that had a problem with it were people that put loads of hours in on another console - the downgrade was jarring for them. If youíve never played it before then it looks great. Sits comfortably alongside Splatoon as best shooter on the console.

    Itís a great game, if you have issues with Blizzard thatís up to you.

    Question for the EG hive mind.

    I have got a switch lite as my secondary switch. For some reason Celeste is not available in my downloads and seems to want me to pay again on the secondary. If iIgo to my primary switch it says it is purchased. All my other games are availble for redownload on the secondary, just not Celeste. Any ideas?

    @macmurphy Overwatch better than Doom then? I know oneís MP and oneís mostly SP, but I mean in terms of mechanics and feel of the actual shooting. Doom also on sale.

    While I thorougherly enjoyed my time with Thumper, stage 4 is just too much for me. Stage 3 got to the point of survival rather than aiming for S ranks, but is was still great.

    It's a fun game, but it gets hard.

    Back to The Witcher 3 :)

    Take a look at Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax if you're looking for an arcade style shooter. 1 to 4p with a decent amount of content. I've dabbled with it on Steam and it's good fun. Only £3.59 in the sale so I should probably double dip.

    @jonsaan

    You need to change the lite console to the primary console. This is done through the e shop settings.

    Depends on what youíre after bud. I rate Doom hugely, itís possibly the most fun game I played on the system. It was a blast from start to finish. If you want a briefer one player experience maybe thatís your best bet. But the multiplayer was just too twitchy and bouncy, running round doing nothing then sudden frantic jumpy blasting that seemed a bit random. I remember it being unpopulated as well.

    Overwatch just feels like it will have a much longer tail. The games are amazing fun, thereís so much variety in approach and character. There are odd load outs that mean there are a lot of abilities to use which distances it from a traditional shooter, but the actual shooting bits feel purer and more refined if that makes sense. Doom is more chaotic blasting. Probably less so if you get good, but the multiplayer was just too hectic.

    So theyíre very different games. One an outstanding single player that likely wonít last you too long, the other a sublime multiplayer that you can keep coming back to.

    Iíd get both 🤷‍♂️

    @LoneWolf80 thanks. I will try that but it is weird that Celeste is the only game I canít download. All the other ones are fine.

    So I registered the switch lite as the primary and it still wants me to pay for Celeste. A game I already own. Annoying!

    Might be worth contacting support. If you leave it as your primary Switch for a bit longer, they might be able to sort it. You have paid for it after all.

    It's definitely the same region as your other downloads, right?

    That might just be it. I reckon I bought it on my US account. I totally forgot about that! DUH!

    Have a biscuit on me sir!

    Saga Scarlet Grace should be up on the Eshop now. It's the current top of the 'games I won't shut up about' list from the last few years so check it out!

    Well Luigi's Mansion is fucking great isn't it? Wow... first time I've played one and having an absolute blast with my little boy. Might be the best looking game I've seen so far on the Switch as well.

    Even if you donít get on with it, itís still worth putting on for the music.

    Disappointed to hear the Japanese voices are replaced but I suspect thatís one of the reasons they managed to get it out so cheap. I understand itís just 25 quid! If you want a battle heavy RPG with lots of personality, one of the best battle systems Iíve played and a unique but dense game design then itís a great choice.

    It doesnít go as insane as RS3 does at times (there are a couple of set pieces in there that will stay with me for a long time because they are so out there - people who have played it will be able to guess which ones) but the way itís put together is really compelling. The fairy-based economy and the place that seemingly runs entirely on the power of rumours are a couple of my favourites.

    I assume Saga is better than it looks?

    In other news, I've just grabbed Bury Me My Love from the US eshop for free. Apparently it's because I've previously bought some other game from an extensive list in the past. Might be worth a look.

    Randomly bought Dragonball Fighterz in the black Friday sale because I wanted to learn how to do fighting games.

    It's really fun!

    @Kay I've put it off for years - but I think a Switch version is enough to sway me into trying it. Once it's on sale, naturally.

    Me too. Although horror games are not exactly great for handhelds, imo. Plus there'll be the Switch tax to consider.

    I would be interested in playing Alien Isolation again if it weren't so damn long. The game doesn't have too many tricks up its sleeve, so trying to make it last way longer than it should was a bad idea. As a 9-10 hours experience it would have been unparalleled, but unfortunately it's more like 16-18 hours.

    @Kay I played both Detention and Darkwood (Indie horror) in portable mode, with headphones and the lights off and was genuinely scared at times. Headphones definitely help as I've not had that kind of experience playing on a TV since I was about 11 years old, playing the original Resident Evil in the dark. That got so uncomfortable I had to turn it off. :D
