Is that the very first Frogger? I got that on XBLA ages ago, back when the service was literally just for arcade games. I bet it will be more expensive.

Wish someone would port the PS1 game. Even if it was crazy hard.

    @Malek86

Yes, a port of the arcade game so it should be fairly accurate.

Frogger is a million times better than the mouldering pastie that is Stephen's Sausage Roll.

Yeah. That was a pretty average game. Proper middle of the road stuff.

Hopefully 45 minutes of in depth analysis of Frogger will be the main feature.

Sorry if this has been asked, I've missed the last few years of gaming, but does Nintendo actually have accounts now? I've recently bought a switch and a 512gb sd card, but I'm concerned that if the card dies, can I easily get to a 'purchase history' or 'download list', to re-download stuff I've bought?

Also, do the NeoGeo arcade games ever go on sale?

The Neo Geo games go on sale very occasionally but the good ones rarely do.

Cool, cheers. Where do I go to to find my purchase history/download list?

I'm tempted by loads of the NeoGeo games, just going by the screen shots. Will end up buying games like Shock Troopers 1&2 (which I've played on an arcade cab 2-Players and loved it).

I'm finding the Switch uncomfortable to hold for any given amount of time, which is a bummer, but really impressed with the console overall.

@Short-Round Regardless of what consoles you are signed into, you need to log into the shop and click on your profile pic in the top right hand corner. Your history and un-downloaded games will appear there.

I genuinely have no interest in 30-40 year old arcade games. Modern games > retro re-releases

I don't know about that. Modern games are generally better, though being more shiny each generation has not necessarily improved the core experience of some genres.

Some games benefit from increased realism and immersion but many don't. There's a fine line between something being a game, which is fun to play, and becoming some massively complex over-designed system that has forgotten its roots.

The best arcade games have a clear and easy to understand goal, which is fun to achieve, and they are not limited by their more simplistic graphics. This is why classics such as Donkey Kong, Frogger, Pac Man et al have endured. Many of their technically superior sequels have failed mostly due to over complicating the design.

Does anyone with a Switch Lite and an OG Switch (well I suppose any two Switches) know if they function like any other console in 2019 would and pull cloud saves from one console to the other? ie if one were to start a game on big switch, saved to cloud, then wanted to resume on Lite, would the save be accessible, and vice versa? Or am I going to have to understand?

Yes, you can do that. I've done it.

Though I think only uploading the save happens automatically, so it's not 100% seamless.

That's good news, can you go back and forth as you like?

Yeah, basically. Though you probably need the online thingy for cloud saves?

@Mola_Ram Yeah I've got that, I'm just considering getting a Lite for the boy, but he also likes to play on the TV. So if he can go back and forth like that it would be ideal.

    Ok.

So yeah, the upload is automatic (or you can make it automatic). But I don't know if the download of the data is. Either way it doesn't take long!

Yeah, upload is automatic, download is manual. Something like ďthere is new data on the serverĒ and you click to download the latest save file.

A couple of games donít allow save transfer, not many though. Pokemon Lets Go and Sword Shield donít allow it.

You may already know this, but the Switch youíll be using away from WiFi in airplane mode the most (in my case the Switch Lite) should be set as primary Switch. Secondary Switch has to connect to network to confirm it can be used when booting a game, so my permanently docked one is secondary. Itís quick and painless, assuming you always keep it connected. Seems odd that the one I use the most, the OG docked, is secondary but it makes sense.
