Which is a major reason why it is so great. (Although I heard the Switch version was particularly janky).

    Nor does Splatoon 2.

I watched a Let's Play of Two Point Hospital. I love management games but it seemed kind of tedious and by the numbers, falling prey to the spam everything everywhere mechanic.

Two point hospital is excellent. Had it on pc for quite a while now. Lots of fun.

    @Phattso

This is the thing that deeply troubles me, Phattso. I love management games so why have I not enjoyed what are arguably very good games in the genre of late?

Perhaps you no longer like managing and now preferred to be managed instead?

Yes, why do it at home when I have to do it at work. I'm not one of those fancy directors though.

As long as it's comparable to Theme Hospital, I'm good. I tried replaying that on PC last year, but having to jump through all those hoops and still encounter bugs was off putting.

    It's like a grand remake/remaster of that.

I grabbed Shovel Knight yesterday and started it this morning. 15 minutes in and it's already brilliant!

I've played the SK story before, but am looking forward to getting to grips with the other Knights

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger gets a thumbs up from me. Got it on pc and it's a great shooter. £18 but I think it's £13 from SA.

Hmm. Playing Katana Zero and not quite feeling it. The controls are just not fluid enough and it feels like a poor man's Hotline Miami. Love the look of it and intrigued by the plot, but the actual game isn't particularly engaging.

It definitely takes a bit of time to click, but it's great when it does. Gets bloomin' hard towards end end though

Anyone picked up Ashen from the American store. Think it's been released next week. I've wanted to play it for a while but I heard the performance on the switch may not be the best.

Just noticed now that Super Chariot is literally 99 cents for the sales, which is a steal really.

It's well worth playing even if you don't have a coop partner.
Calling back to this post as I picked it up but didn't try out until this morning. Grest little game! Wasn't on my radar at all but a real gem

I imagine it's more tolerable in solo, rather than co-op.

    Anyone played The Stretchers?

Thinking of getting it to play with the gf over Christmas but the only other game she's ever enjoyed playing is Overcooked 2. I'm hoping it's simple enough (and comedic enough) - can anyone advise?

@Rhaegyr I have played it with my kids (5 & 8). Squint hard enough and you get that nice Crazy Taxi vibe.

It's simple enough allright. And the locations add some variety. But I guess it doesn't feel as cohesive or tight as Overcooked.

    Fun little game.

Thanks mate - it's just something for me and the other half to play while having a laugh. I'll get her in to games yet!

Telltale Batmen are 4 quid a pop. I have them on Ps4 but for some reason never did anything with them, despite playing just about every other telltale game. I think I'll double dip.

@Tomo it fell into place for me when I learned to use the roll effectively- that helped reduce frustrating/inconsistent deaths. Finished it early this week and by the end I think I narrowly preferred it compared to Miami.

Might just be me but Katana Zero is absolutely nothing like Hotline Miami.

@splosh this review mentions the performance is good. Only a few drops in framerate. Seems like a really good port.

Does anyone have experience with Joy-Con charging stands, specifically which is better between the four Joy-Con PowerA one or the HORI one (they both say they're officially licensed)? I ordered the HORI one off Amazon for £25, but the seller has sent me the PowerA one, which is a tenner cheaper from Amazon themselves. Reading some reviews, the PowerA one has slow charging times, some don't fully charge the joy-cons and on some the led's don't always turn off when fully charged.

Just wondering if I should go to the trouble of returning for a refund or exchange for the HORI one, if they're both basically the same?
