If you like turn-based strategy, stealth and roguelikes then yep, definitely. I can't speak for the Switch port but I played it loads on PS4, the controls and icons do feel overwhelming at first but you get used to it. Plus you can tweak the difficulty to your liking iirc.

Personally, Iíd rate it in the top 5 of games I have ever played. But, you need to know what youíre getting into. Itís a tough, unforgiving game in a fairly niche genre (turn-based/squad/tactics).

More importantly, it is available on various other platforms for a far lower price. I mean, it was free not too long ago on ps plus. Itís an old game now, and 30 Pelvic Thrusts on re-release is taking the piss a fair bit. At half that price or lower, Iíd recommend it in a heartbeat for the switch.

And yeah the price isn't right, but it's still far less than a full-priced game and will give you hours of enjoyment. And it's portable.

It's definitely worth that price though.... so fun and replayable! I have this on the PC already but portable play is perfect for this game!

The adaptor does look cool, but I believe the GC controller's analogue functionality only works if you use the official GC adaptor (though I might be wrong)...

Tbh GRID seems okay with the digital triggers anyway, and there's also an option to use the right stick for analogue steering.
Ah apologies, ignore my suggestion - didn't realise this!

Is 51 Worldwide Games fun single player? I fancy treating myself and for some reason this has caught my eye over Xenoblade which Iíve never played.

Invisible Inc sounds great but the price is a bit steep. Infact most eshop games are, just have to keep an eye on sales.

And Nintendo games definitely hold their prices too, I thought stuff like BoTW would be much cheaper considering the age.

I wouldn't buy 51 Worldwide games for single player. It is best as a local multiplayer game and with friends online...should you wish to interact with the usual poor Nintendo online features.

The AI ranges between abysmal to unbeatable depending on the game e.g. Chess AI is awful at the hardest level but the Renegade (Othello) AI is really difficult even on the easiest level. It's an interesting collection of games that's fun to dip in and out of for a few minutes. It's like buying a whole bunch of fairly well done mobile apps but with no adverts or pay to win features.

There is actually a demo of 51 Worldwide games. Only four games in there, but it gives you an idea of the feel of it all.

Yeah, the portability is what does it for me. It's the kind of game where you just want to do ONE MORE MISSION, and those missions are usually pretty bite-sized. Perfect for portables.

It's one of the best games I've ever played, so I'm definitely going to get it at some point. When there's a sale, or (more likely) when I get drunk and all self-control goes out the window.

Remembered that I have the ios version of Invisible Inc so that's £18 saved.

I'll try it tomorrow, after some Slay the Spire naturally.

    Hi,

I lent my sister my switch during the quarantine for her to play animal crossing. Turns out she likes it so much she wants her own! Is there any way she can continue her save? Can she transfer the save? Or can we both log in to my Nintendo account simultaneously?

Ah unfortunate. Is there any issue with both of us logging in to my Nintendo account from 2 different switches?

Can't be done. When you sign in on one switch you will get signed out on the other.

So I know you are all dying to know my thoughts on my first 72 hours with my Switch (or totally disinterested more likely) :)

I like a lot of it, only played Zelda (1 hour) and Mario Odyssey (30 mins) so far. I like it as a handheld and I like it on telly, however I'm not sure I will spend any amount of time with it.
I have a sneaky feeling I boobed on purchasing (spent just under £400 all in) I can only assume there was a reason I did not buy when it first released.
Might well be a case of monkey see, monkey want, monkey do, on this occasion.

Thinking back it might well be the MS/Nintendo partnership with a few games, I think I read that and actually saw "Gears of war" on Switch ;)

@DUFFMAN5 Yeah but wait until you discover that it's the best place for fun little indie games and you kinda forget about the big releases...then the great sales that come around often.

    You won't regret.

I'm the total opposite to duff an since my purchase. I only got the lite but I think its a great bit of kit, and the games are amazing. Playing luigis mansion and have a big grin on my face the whole time.

It's the perfect machine for breaks away from the more serious games and the portability is perfect.

I think how much use you get out of the Switch generally depends on the difference between these 2 points:
    1. How much gaming you want to do
    2. TV availability

For me: 1 is fucking loads and 2 is not much. So the Switch is pretty much perfect.

    @PazJohnMitch
    😉

I have "my own" room. It is the front room of our house. 4 consoles hooked up all the time, my guitars and "toys" so I can game anytime really.
I think the Switch is more a novelty for me, much like all of Nintendo stuff.

It is definitely a nice piece of kit... Will I still own it a month from now, 50/50!

Sounds like you're playing games more out of habit than enjoying it. Especially with playing Gears daily, it's never hit the heights of the many nights on Gears 3!

It does sound like the Switch is not really for you.

Although now you have one it is definitely worth finishing Mario Odyssey and giving Zelda a good crack before you move on.

If you don't care about the portability or the exclusives, then there is literally no reason to own a Switch. Those are its only selling points (and they're more than enough for me).

I like how it's whisper quiet and the UI is clean and purely for games. Maybe not selling points but they're good qualities for me.
