I've been pretty good at not buying games so far this year (just Animal Crossing), but I'll definitely have that Superliminal. I loved the demo but was holding off for the Steam release so I could use my Steam Wallet credit, so having it on a different format will do nicely :)

I was eyeing up Superliminal too. The videos look great and the price doesn't too to be too bad either...

A lot of reviews for Superliminal say that it is an excellent idea, poorly integrated into a game.

There are too many “I thought I would love this but...”s.

So I am a bit torn as the idea does look good enough for me to want to play it despite the reviews. Yet I am also sure I will be disappointed.

I really fancy it and loved the demo so I'll be the test subject for this one :p Bought and downloaded now so just have to wait for it to come out.

I'd imagine the PC reviews will largely still apply, unless there are significant performance issues. I've tried to avoid reviews myself as all I want is just more of what the demo does, and hopefully not too long so I'd like to complete it in an evening or 2.

    For f*** sake.

Nintendo fixed my joycon drift but now the right one only connects if I hold it next to the console.

Thank goodness I have a pro controller.

My home fixes have started drifting again. The joycons really are terribly constructed. I wish there were better 3rd party alternatives.

Bought an 8bitdo SN30 pro in addition to my pro controller, so at lease I've got two decent options for multi-player stuff.

I filled in the form to send the left joycon back this morning, really quick process and you only have to send the individual item now, not the entire console. Freepost too so just dropped it off at the PO.

Ours lasted 4 months before it started to wander, now it's completely unusable.

We have an SN30 Pro and a couple of N30Pro 2s, so the only thing we can't play is Mario Party.

Gave up and bought a hori replacement set (split pad pro), they are really good. If Nintendo just came out with a replacement design, then I'd be happy. But they don't seem to care.

I didn't get on with the Split Pad Pro. Sent them back; perhaps it's time to think about getting another set and trying them again?

Maybe try a different 3rd one. Almost got the GEEKLIN ones from Amazon, they seemed to have good review. Just came down to price.

Gave Ninjala a quick go. I managed to get second place on my first match, but I'm still not quite sure how it works.

It said I can craft bigger weapons with bigger gum, but every time I tried, I just turned into an object? And also, I don't get how clashes with other players are supposed to be won. I mashed a bit and won some, lost some...

What's the best twin stick shooter on the Switch?

I fancy some Resogun/Nex Machina type action

Does anyone know when that Amanita Design game is coming out? Doesn't seem to be a preorder for it.

@ZuluHero I don't think they've given a definitive date yet, just that it would be some time in July.

Ahh, I'll just have to keep an eye out then, saw an article on the front page and thought it was out already. Really love their games.

Dunno if there's a better thread for this, but The World Ends With You -Final Remix- is on sale on the eShop at 50% off (£40 down to £20) until the 19th of July. This is the first time it's ever had any sort of discount whatsoever digitally, so it might be of interest.

As a warning on this, whilst it is a great (suburb) game, the control scheme is bad! Very VERY bad!!!

It actively hurt my fingers to play the game and I hated it by the end.

What control method did you use? I still own the DS version, but despite loving the game, I never got on with the multitasking combat, and was curious about picking this up to see if I preferred it, just not at £40.

    Touch screen only.

Actually you can use joy Cons for motion control but that is somehow worse.

Hello, top-down twin-stick shooters are some of my very favourite games. Would you like to know more? Good.

    Obvious recommendations:
    - Enter the Gungeon
    - Nuclear Throne
    - Blazing Beaks (really great, quite overlooked)

    Lesser known, but good:
    - Police Stories (tactical shooter, difficult. “quick play” randomised missions are my current addiction)
    - Streets of Rogue (not strictly always a shooter, but really good)
    - X-Morph: Defence (twin-stick shooter meets tower defence)

Average and slightly above, worth a look on sale:
    - Redeemer: Enhanced Edition (focus on both melee and shooting)
    - Jydge
    - NeuroVoider
    - 12 is better than 6

Top-down action, not strictly shooters/twin stick:
    - RAD
    - Full Metal Furies
    - Ape Out (wonderful game)
    - GALAK-Z
    - Invisigun (fantastic, especially as a party game)
    - Children of Morta (superb indie action rpg)
    - My Friend Pedro (excellent, twin stick, but side scrolling)

New and interesting, but as yet unplayed:

    - Gerty (it looks good)

@Zippity-zap wow - that's really helpful. Thank you!

I've seen Assault Android Cactus mentioned too - any good?

@Flying_Pig Yeah, Assault Android Cactus is alright, probably a title for discount. Forgot about that one.

Neon Chrome is another one, though not at full price.

If you are ok with side-scrolling variants, Black Future 88 is worth your time.

I have heard good things about HyperParasite, but haven’t tried it yet.

I finished Superliminal today, as it's not a particularly long game. I really enjoyed it but there are plenty of reviews out there for the PC version which would also apply to this one so I'd recommend reading one of those.

As far as Switch specifics go, performance was fine for me throughout the game and resolution seemed decent enough in both portable and TV modes. No extra content or anything, just a solid port.
