Registered 7 years agoI certainly wouldn't mind playing GoW3 on my PS4 but I haven't played 1 or 2. They could have done a trilogy or something

Registered 11 years agoBit of a weird one this - I would have thought they'd put GOW 1-3 as a trilogy collection if anything, 3 on its own seems a bit.....cheap.
Come to think of it, I never did finish Ascension - if it was GOW3 and Ascension together as a remastered double pack that would be slightly better... -
Fuckin nice one. Another remaster to disguise the fact they haven't got anything decent out exclusive wise this year.
Don't get me wrong I do enjoy a gow game but why didn't they remaster a trilogy and release that as a nice collection. -

GoW 3 usually ran between 40 and 60. If I recall there was good motion blur at work too, so that negated some of the choppiness at least.
I assume they're not doing 1 and 2 as running PS2 titles from 2005 and 2007 isn't going to to look nearly as good as one of the best looking console titles of last gen getting the sexy treatment.
Ascension didn't run brilliantly and could probably do with a remaster more, but it was (IMO) by some margin the weakest of the home console games, so I guess 3 is the sweet spot in terms of graphics and gameplay. -

I got the remasters for TLOU and GTAV but I doubt I'll be getting this. I didn't enjoy it that much on the PS3 and a new shiny skin isn't going to persuade me to play it again. A new gow built from the ground up would be welcome though

Nothing wrong with remasters, you aren't forced to buy them.
With the HD versions of 1 and 2 on PS Now, the remaster o 3 will put all 3 of the main series available on PS4. Good games in their own right, but it'll also serve as a way for people new to PS to jump in ready for whatever comes next. -
