    I did look for a thread but couldn't find one.

    Anyway, here's the first official image of the costume :-)

    Awesome. They get it.

    I still say it's weird having a Canadian playing him. We're all polite.

    I noticed some of the stitching on his suit is in totally the wrong place compared to the comic book.

    Worst Film Ever.

    Looks sexy but it's not very Dirty Harry.

    Really looking forward to this movie, loved the few Deadpool comics that I have read. Be interesting to see how they handle the self-referencing/4th wall stuff as I don't think it works too well in movies, an inner dialogue could be quite good I guess.

    I know it is corny but all I would need would be deadpool in a room, shot ton of baddies (or goodies) rush in. He turns over his shoulder to look at the audience and just gives a quick knowing one liner with a wink

    I always knew that Deadpool looked a little like DC's Deathstroke but I didn't know he was a complete rip off. Deathstroke's alias is Slade Wilson whilst Deadpool's is Wade Wilson, no idea how they got away with that.

    @PES_Fanboy
    I'm probably falling into a trap here but...

    Deadpool is a Canadian, isn't he?
  • Deleted user 28 March 2015 22:41:16
    @Coughthulu haha, really? I have no idea, I don't read the cartoons. Up until reading a bit about it I thought it was the same character Colin Farrell played in one of the movies

    "the cartoons"... Nice try!

    Deadpool's backstory changes often, writers blame it on his insanity. He does state that he is Canadian at one point but seeing as he served in the US special forces it seems unlikely.

    @twelveways/@PES_Fanboy

    I seem to recall it became a bit of a running joke, with a 'My nationality changes depending on which writer you like best' flavour. But I think in the original run, he was.

    I'm sure I remember an issue where the Canadian Government employ him as Captain Canada (after Wolverine turns them down). It's possible I just dreamt this...

    I know nothing about the comic but this looks good. I couldn't tell from the footage (too low res) but is he CGI?

    And here's the confirmation that it's going to be an R rating in the US. Done in pure Deadpool style. Love it!

    It's not really confirming anything when Reynolds own Twitter is saying he "wants" it to be and that he's "pushing for it".

    No it's confirmation in the video that he put on here. That your replying to?

    Anyhoo it's great news that there not trying to cater to the kiddies. Pretty excited for this movie.

    Such a good way to announce its rated R while also giving fans the glimpse they needed to see its on the right track.
