Registered 12 years agoFried gold right there.
Seems like Jóhann Jóhannsson will be on remixing duties then. With the soundtrack being so intrinsic to this films quality, I hope he doesn't fuck up.
Villeneuve will be just fine. -

Registered 14 years agoVery promising. Is this based on any of the Blade Runner books? Or is it an original story? -

Registered 12 years agoThere's more than one Blade Runner book? I seem to recall some of this is based on storyboards that didn't make the cut in the original film. -

Registered 6 years agoIt'll be an original story. The fan fiction style sequel books are pretty awful. -

Registered 16 years agoIt's loosely based on my short story, "Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling Bumming For 93 Minutes (Also Replicants)". -

Registered 16 years agoHow many films has Ford starred in as the "was something" old man now?
That's hella strange typecasting if you ask me. An odd place for your career to end up in.
Is he disavowed the pleasures of actual acting? I'd prefer it for him earn my adoration via his performance, rather than have some weird legendary status be thrust upon me as a viewer.
"Look at this very special man, look how awesome he is... or was, now just accept it".
It's empty to my eyes. You've gotta earn the reputation.
What an absolute ramble. Sorry.
It's just this film is all money, with the obligatory old man Ford handing whatever made up mantle he has down to some younger generation.
Yawn. -

It's going to be visually stunning, and as long as they avoid any Prometheus-sized plot holes, I'll be happy. -

Registered 16 years agoDenis Villeneuve hates CGI, fortunately the Jim Henson Workshop was able to put together a passable Harrison Ford using some of his previously shed skins. -

Registered 17 years ago"Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years."
