Played a lot of this yesterday and seemed to get stuck in a very unfortunate loop where I'd get one decent teammate and we'd rank up and then one awful teammate who was toxic and or rage quit and I'd rank down

This went on for a good 10 games and in the end I just had to stop because it was affecting my mental health

I appreciate the difficulty in setting up a ranking system based on a team game but allocating rank by what appears to be wins/losses is utterly frustrating when your teammates are absolute morons (obviously when you lose/rank down of course). You either defend and they fail to score or you score and they fail to defend. I find it unfathomable that players over semi-pro don't contest the kick-off. As I'm still not up to par with aerials, that means instant goals a lot of the time. The game rewards attacking play and so it leads to selfish play too. Falling a bit out of love with the game I think. Still having loads of fun though.

Maybe can grab some game with you EGers some time. Usually only get to go on past 11pm though

Floyd and I had a decent run last night. Including a pretty tense best of 3 hoops battle with a couple of well matched randoms.

I'm not on tonight but probably will be later in the week.

Damn this game getting in the way of other games I need to complete. It's just so addictive.

Gah! Had another disconnect tonight followed by a time out when trying to rejoin the game. Cue another 15 minute ban.

Went and played Splatoon instead, which turned out to be a lot of fun!

I did an aerial save in goal last night. Very pleased with myself. But I also scored a stonker of an own goal...

I think my best game so far was a...2x2 or 3x3 (can't remember) which ended 1-1 in full time and then lasted for another 5 minutes of overtime before someone on my team scored. Best defensive display I've seen/been a part of. It was a bit of a shame there had to be a loser really.

Bought this on steam in the end last night and it feels a hell of a lot not responsive on my laptop then on my TV. From now on, I'm blaming all my woeful performances on my TV refresh rate!

So was comparing the differences between the ps4 and pc and found the latter to be a whole lot more responsive.

Now most would expect this but having tinkered with some settings, the ps4 has vsync enabled by default and the pc doesn't. It does introduce a little screen tearing but massively improves responsiveness!

Basically... Switch it off!

I think so. Pc is my preferred platform for this now, it does feel more responsive and look better due to higher res/refresh rate. Of course sitting closer to a monitor with my ageing eyes helps too...

For something as twitchy as this, a half second is the difference between hitting the ball and in my case, flying straight past it! Haha

Yeah, I do that far too often for my liking. In most cases I just skim past the ball, even though I swear I was perfectly lined up.

What I would give to play this game in 3D! The depth perception would be incredibly helpful.

@Pazie Unfortunately not. At least i've not figured it out, anyway. I've found that if you jump and barrel roll sideways, you travel outward, rather than downward, which makes no sense at all.

Whoops, I made a schoolboy error at the weekend.

Set this up on the xbone during the recent RL free weekend on XBL, so our lad and the son of some visitors could play in the family room instead of playing it on the PS4 in the living room, thus leaving us free to chat in peace.

Now we both are keen to double-dip and buy it again for when the missus wants to watch something we don't like on the main telly...

I played this on my Vita via remote play the other day. Played a few online games too and couldn't even really tell. Very impressed frankly. The Vita nubs aren't great for tight control but I was able to play well enough.

Had someone on my team score an own goal with 3 seconds to go the other day to tie the game. The ball was going wide and there was no reason to touch it. And then we lost in overtime

I got promoted the other night to dizzy heights of Prospect 3 on doubles. I then had a game where my teammate quit and i won on my own. Chuffed with that. However i cant see me getting much further after being paired with fucktards most matches and not having a choice
