Caught the new single this weekend, 'Feel Good Inc.'. It's brilliant! The nipper likes it too, and he's got pretty good musical tastes for a two-year-old.

Listen to it here, just find and click on the jukebox.

Thought the first album was excellent in places and a bit rubbish in others. Fingers crossed for the new one. Anyone heard it?

Their new album Plastic Beach is available to listen to in full at...

    Plastic Beach

Only listened to it once and I'm next to useless at predicting if it's good or not after one listen. At the moment it seems ok, nothing immediately catchy.

It got full marks in Q magazine. They called it 'Albarn's Masterpiece'. NME, if anyone in the world cares, gave it a 7.

I thought it was just ok tbh, might be a grower though, not sure. The latter half of Rhinestone eyes is cool.

I've heard about half of the tracks on the radio. Sounds pretty good to me - some of the tracks are quite challenging at first listen, but there's a lot to like even first time round.

Can't get Stylo out of my head at the moment, but I'll give the full album a few listens for sure.

I'll have to give this a listen (always found that I grew bored with the previous Gorillaz albums very quickly though).

Would have much preferred a new Blur album though.

Demon Days is indeed great. I've been looking forward to this for a while (thought Demon Days was supposed to be their last, then saw this listed on Play which was a pleasant surprise)

Just listening through for the first time and it's good. Of course it will be a grower, Demon Days was too and still get played here.

    Good video for Stylo too:

Had a few playthroughs streaming at work, and it does seem very good. Need to have a proper listen to the retail though at home in the cans.

Any album with Mark E Smith and Snoop Dogg on it is going to be worth a listen

It's decent but a bit melancholy for my mood today. Might try it at work later :)

Yeah, a much darker, less chart-friendly album. I love it, but worry there may be not quite enough "girly" tracks for mass-crossover appeal. There's a lack of hands in the air tracks, such as Feel Good Inc, or Dare.

Gorillaz are an established enough band now that they don't need the singles chart any more, for this album at least. Besides, the first single is getting quite a lot of air time on Radio 1, 6 and for all I know it may even be getting played on radio 2.
