I think it does a disservice to say PES is in a demise. Last year's PES was on fire, yes he has lost a little of his wit but he is still has time to come back . -

Registered 7 years agoI don't care for m/any of Konami's games tbh, but a theoretical 'upside' of their demise would be if it (somehow) led to the fabled FIFA/PES joint venture. Imagine:
The slower, more technical gameplay of PES 15 (just tighten up the defensive game, it was a wee bit vague I thought).
The licenses, presentation and online netcode of FIFA.
Awesomeness ensues! -

Registered 14 years agoFrom what I played of it it's a bit slower and pace doesn't seem to be so important but that isn't normally the case when the retail version arrives. -

Registered 11 years agoYup, EA have a habit of releasing a retail version that's drastically different to the demo version, which is a shame as I remember the Fifa 15 demo playing really well (slower paced) but the full version was nothing like it. -

Played a few games.. for the most part its just a refined version of FIFA 15. Shooting feels very different but now that I've got the timing down scoring is a little too easy.
Dribbling is much the same as is passing. although i like that not every first touch is perfect and can result in losing possession.

Registered 10 years agoI find its much, much slower than Fifa 15 which is a good thing IMO. I'm impressed with the demo, its pretty good. Theres a much more considered pace compared to last year and the defending seems better. -

Registered 7 years agoSlow one year, fast the next. Slow one year.. It's the Fifa way.
Stuck with 14 last year, as 15 was a speedy joke. If the pattern holds, will probably pick up 16 this year, and then skip 17 next year... -

Registered 8 years agoTo my eyes the graphics seem a little rough around the edges compared to 15. That could just be me though. As for the gameplay I still feel its going to be based on pace as it still seems like ping pong.....just end to end all the time. I thought EA said it would be about the midfield and build up play? -

Don't agree that it's end to end all the time, the fact that it isn't is the reason I'm so impressed with it. I've had a couple of nil nils where me and the CPU have only made a chance or two each. And yet those games have still been good and not boring, more of a tense back and forth.
I noticed the demo is by default on semi pro so maybe that's it.
It really doesn't do the player id thing as well as PES, but for me this is a massive improvement over last years 100mph shite. -

Registered 14 years agoSeems to play pretty well, better than last year IMO. I just knocked the difficulty up and set speed to slow.
I like the Bundesliga presentation aswell. I watch quite a lot of German football so it's nice to see them bumped up to EPL level.
Women's teams are pretty nice too, even if it is a bit of a gimmick. -

Registered 16 years agoI love how the play is slower but I do fear the full game will be 1000mph with pace owning everyone as usual. The Women's teams are great to play with. -

Registered 14 years agoRight.
The commentary is still so stiff. Surely they can do something better than this? Been so stale for years. Awful.
The stats screen at the end of the match is the same as it has been for about 8 years. Am I asking for too much to want more detail?
Weather sucks.
Enjoyed the draft fut though. -

Registered 15 years agoFelt like the worst Fifa in a long time. Far too easy to play pinball passes around the midfield and speed still kills. Give me PES and its slower, methodical, build up play anyday.
PES this year feels like proper football, FIFA feels like football for hyperactive 10 year olds -

Registered 16 years agojust played a couple of games on the pc version. I can barely see any difference at all to '15 apart from there was a couple more slightly miss passed balls and miss controls. I think you'd have to be a bit mental to buy this if you already have fifa 15!
still doesn't really look anything like a real game of football, but I tend to see fifa as really a skill game with football as its theme rather than a simulation. -

and the communities don't die. You can still get games on 13 on ps3.
