    Oh ffs it's like sekiro last boss where the first section is really easy but you need to zzzz through it to start the real fight. Fourth go..
    Edit fourth go beat it, great game, great boss ;). Only needed four flasks as well.

    Good work. If you're strength build have you tried the Fume Ultra Greatsword? Love that weapon 😍

    @puddleduck

    Woah, Fume's weapon (hell, just a mention of Fume) made it into DS3!? I love little details like that.

    Yeah I have it +2. Can't remember what it's like though..must have been from years ago.

    Currently browsing the forum disguised as a statue thing as some dick has invaded me when I have 170,000 souls. They will eventually get bored and leave.

    Edit.. just remembered I could just goto the dashboard and take the ps4 offline. Already had to kill two since getting to the ringed city.

    @Bichii

    It's big. Really big. Mostly just use it two handed. The charged up R2 will flatten most enemies. But it's obviously not the fastest weapon around :)

    So, finished it last night with the fire fades ending (Firekeeper eyes ending)

    All I have to do (HA!) is Usurption of fire ending, that's gfine as it's a single playthrough following a guide.

    Then I have to finish up all the rings/spells/miracles/pyro. I guess that's the time consuming part, I tried to get summoned for some sunlight medals this morning but it was taking ages between summons, I'm SL166 does that maybe have an impact on getting summoned?...Is there any way to speed this process up?

    fwiw, this is an area that Nioh 2 absolutely nails, co-op is super simple and you can always get a match up.

    Yeah nioh 2 is amazing for co op. I played it through with a friend and coming back to this or Bloodborne was painful in comparison.

    Sl166? Is that Ng+?

    I can't remember what runs I've done in this. Definitely a pure magic, pure pyro, pure strength. Maybe a naked run. I've done a naked club run in dark souls 2, was fun.

    That's on "Journey 3", problem is, you can't just leave down a summon sign and wander off, you have to commit to waiting around for ages.

    Looking into it, I'm quite high above the matchmaking max level of 150, so basically i'm only going to be able to get summoned by people around the same level, unless I find mates and password summon.

    Half tempted to start a new game, but I cannot be arsed with the early game grind at all!

    Really loving this now I've reached the ringed city. The previous area felt like too much of a re use of old assets so it wasn't interesting exploring. I was exploring the lower watery area and had something like 120k in souls when i accidentally triggered the iron dragon slayer fight! Luckily I beat him even though I stupidly tried to change shields mid battle forgetting it doesn't pause! Wanted a better lightening Def one. Wrecked his day anyway and I like his armour. Plus he gave maybe 140k in souls!

    @OllyJ how many do you need? If you're on ps4 I might be able to find a character that has bosses to kill that you've killed and summon you in to just smash through them. Not sure when as Demon's on ps5 is now going to take over my life but sure I can find some time at some point.

    No one should be left hanging when trying to plat a souls game 😎

    This is a proper add on! Just smashed a dragon in the face which was satisfactory. Every time I go in a new room I scan the ceiling and click R3 as I walk around :).

    Edit: oooooooooh ringed knight paired greatswords! Think I want to upgrade these!

    Beat halflight first time. Did it Vs players twice but both times was the same insanely glitchy player that both times I got to one or two hits away from killing (somehow) but the player was teleporting all over the room. I swear this dlc has forms best ever voices. So many characters have extra creepy voices in this.

    Slave knight Gael done first time.. what a fight!! Had one heal left. Took my time and by the end of the fight I had all his move set down. Fast and very powerful but all the moves were very early telegraphed. :) The one that nearly ended me a few times just the swooping attack.

    Hang on, was that Darkeater Midir you're mentioning there Bichii? How the fork did you just smash him so easily!!!??? I had an absolute nightmare with him, the utter bastard.

    *Edit: Oh and congrats on Slave Knight Gael! I loved that fight, he was a decent Souls boss!

    Don't think so. A dragon on a bridge?

    Edit. Googled it. Secret to find it. Tried once before bed, got it to half health. Nice and epic but just found it annoying, I stayed alive for ages but it was a struggle just to land any hits on it because of the camera and it's move set. Luckily avoided it's laser cannon that time but I imagine that one hit kills.

    @Bichii

    Ha, you've found him, nice one 😁!

    Good going for half health on a first try! He's a swine! Yep, laser cannon is usually instant death, avoid, avoid, avoid! I ran toward him, roll to avoid the frontal jet of laser, then when you're close he can't get you with the arching laser move.

    Kids at school so it's time to slay the beast! Axe to the face should do the trick. What the hell do I do once it's over? :( Hmmm maybe yet another Bloodborne run.

    Edit. Read up on some of the dlc lore. Very cool, especially the final boss! It would be nice if they managed to tell the story a little clearer first run as I'd enjoy it even more then.

    All done! Maybe 7 or 8 attempts I guess. Turns out I had to stay just Infront of it. If you went underneath you got fire bombed, behind tail smashed or too far away laser bombed. Being in front mainly kept the moves to the arm swipes with then small windows to smash it's face in.

    What now?? I always feel after a from game I have no motivation to play any other games on my list.

    @Bichii

    Nice one Bichii! Yeah, Midir is a boss you just need to stay in front as much as possible, though as I'm sure you found out that's easier said than done! Congrats.

    Are you getting a PS5 at some point down the road? The prospect of 60fps Dark 1-3 and Sekiro has to be tempting, not to mention new Demon's and updated Nioh collection early next year. Someone at Sony needs to pull their finger out with regards to a big next-gen patch for Bloodborne though, to deliver that silky smooth framerate it deserves.

    The plan is to get one for sure. I was trying all morning yesterday but no luck. In my fairy land head I'd love some magic full on ps5 Bloodborne patch to make it 60fps and 4k. My lord that would be amazing. I found 1&2 a wee bit dated now coming from a lot of BB, sekiro and DS3 this year.

    How about a bb2? Although again that's wishful thinking considering we haven't had any official information on Eldin ring for around a year.

    Just on 3 now helping poor souls out on Gael. He was perfect for my current build, certainly not easy but very manageable with a lot of patience.

    As I never played it until this week what was the general consensus on the dlc boss difficulty?

    I had that oh ffs moment when Frieda? comes back to life to make it a third!!! boss fight in a row. Think I had one flask left when she resurrects for the second time.

    @Bichii Nails, but most people were veterans by this point having played 2-5 Souls games already, and got them down after a few swears online. Personally I thought the Bloodborne DLC bosses (well, Luwig, Orphan and Laurence) were tougher.

    Oh hell yeah were bloodbornes dlc bosses harder, in fact everything about the old hunter dlc was nails. I didn't really fully struggle on DS3 dlc. There was plenty of swearing yes but no real rage. The closest I got to rage outside of bosses were the Millwood knights around the tower and with the orange summoned spirits by the giants. I think phase two in Freida could have triggered me but I luckily got through it quickly. Any boss fight with two piss me off. I imagine the demon prince phase one would have done my head in without the npc there. The angels were a bit annoying but there was always cover around to make it okay.

    Bloodborne old hunters even though I've beaten it a few times is still crazy hard compared to the main game.
