Those health and stamina bars are the same as those from DS1.

Do you reckon they'll leave the last generation behind now? Considering DSII got a PS4/XB1 release and Bloodborne was PS4 only?

Ban please. Ds2 is amazing goty material. Granted it isn't as good as 1 in some areas but forgetting about other titles in the series 2 is amazing. It is like 94 on meta critic and won shed loads of awards.

2 was great, but it wasn't GOTY material even in the poor year when it came out. I've completed Demons and Dark multiple times but only ever done 1 run on DS2.

I thought I may be burned out on the whole Souls-style game, hence why I didn't adore it but Bloodborne proved otherwise.

DS2 would have easily been my GOTY, if Bayo 2 hadn't happened.

Hell yes! I'm all for this. Supposedly directed by Miyazaki too so a proper current gen Dark Souls will be great.

If they're serious about it being the last the relatively quick release date worries me a bit. If I know there's another I'm happy with an element of fan service but I demand that the last one in the series is the best.

Apparently they're not saying it will be the last but implying perhaps they won't be so frequent or something will change with the series. Miyazaki is co-directing but it appears he'll be much more hands on than he was in DS2, all the world design comes from him, I read.

I've gone back to DS2 after Bloodborne, it feels painfully slow at first but once you're back into the swing of things it's really not that bad.

I think Miyazaki is caught between continuing to utilize the biggest IP From has ever had (at least in the West) in the way they have for Armored Core, and not burning out his singular creative vision he probably feels like he achieved with Dark Souls 1.

Perhaps we'll see Dark Souls spin-offs? He talked about other genres From does, like ninja games. Maybe we'll see a Dark Souls Ninja game (Ninja Souls?) that's all ancient Japan with introduced stealth elements. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the kind of direction they take the series.
