I think the third game had shipped with different aiming mechanics but they patched in a toggle for the old ones so as to advert the internet meltdown over it. I had completed Uncharted 2 several times before I played the first game, so went to that with the expectation it won't be as good but still really good and that's what I got. The first game really saved the PS3's bacon back in the day. |

Registered 8 years agoOuch. 1 looks ugly (just watched the remastered trailer). Not sure how much I will enjoy it. Still 2 and 3 are meant to be great so it will be worth it.
I wish they were doing another new i.p. on the vibe of the last of us, not zombies but the amazing story and characters. Uncharted looks like throw away fun. Which seems like a waste of their amazing talents. -
I'm guessing you haven't actually played Uncharted?
The characters and acting really elevated it.
It's like a big, fun Saturday afternoon matinee. Not as engaging as TLoU, but still something that takes considerable skill to pull off properly.

Registered 8 years agoI have played all of them at the time but only a bit on a friends. I am sure they are great I just meant I thought TLOU was so incredible and the story had such impact I wanted something like that from them. Not an epic Die Hard type action adventure. Plus they have already done it 3 times already so another new game would have been great. Of course 4 looks amazing but just a missed opportunity with those two directors. -

Registered 6 years agoThe 2nd one blew me away, amazing story, characters, graphics. But two thirds of the way through fatigue set in and the story was the only thing keeping me motivated.
There's not enough variety in the combat, some additional Melee options would be a welcome addition. -

Oh, shame. Can't find a trailer that has footage from UC1 - is it on EG somewhere?

That's kind of an odd thing to say seeing as we don't know a lot about Uncharted 4, never mind sitting down and experiencing the story and characters all the way through.

Druckmann's main involvement at ND was Uncharted 2 and The Last of Us. The guy is only 36 so it could be argued that he's just hitting his peak. I have a lot of faith that Uncharted 4 is going to be one of the best games out next year. -

Why don't you link us to said trailer? Hopefully it's not a fan made trailer that uses footage of the original games....

Sometimes the smallest tweak can make a world of difference. I guess I'll be content if they just removed the never-ending waves of enemies.
I can't even remember there was any major difference between the first one and the others in the shooting mechanics, and I played the first two back to back. Can hardly be dramatic.
There's going to be a demo apparently, so I'll know soon if the shooting is to my liking. -

Cheers, but yeah, this isn't an official trailer in any way, shape or form. The footage is from the original trailers. The fact that it has 3500 views and doesn't even get the name of the collection right was a bit of a give-away.

Will all due respect to Seņor Cristian Bustos Roig of course. -

Well, there's nothing "hopefully" about it. It's a fan trailer made from old PS3 footage to get some hits.
Well hopefully that is the case as it looks terrible..
Which doesn't mean Uncharted 1 will look killer. -

Registered 8 years agoI'm getting it anyway. I ignored the original trilogy when it first came out. Looked like a dumb indy game. Now I've played a naughty dog game (tlou) I know what they produce. Excited! About 10 weeks to go.. -

Registered 8 years agoI remember playing uncharted 2 for the first time and thinking WOW - This is amazing, it really was head and shoulders above Uncharted 1 in every respect. I guess that may be a damning indictment of most sequels being generic and tepid. I finished it 3 times and and got the platinum trophy, it's rare that I replay games.
Uncharted 3 was disappointing, but not awful by any means.
For somebody who's played all 3 this collection may seem a bit pointless but if you have never played any of them, your in for a REAL treat. -

Surely not a patch on Nathan Drake? You could make mountains out his victims
