    I reckon anyway.
Yeah, this is basically what it was like playing the alpha with you, Grax and Stephen. The quests we were doing were basically overarching goals that were always there, but the fun was just in dicking around on the high seas. Locking Grax in the brig, etc.

Anyway, as well as the controller and HDD, there's an art book, a lore book, and some comics. They're really going all out with the multimedia blitz for this, which is nice to see. Rare and MS both seem confident in it. I just want to play it again now.

Oh, and I might get the lore book...

You could say that about any game with quests.
Well... yes (although those things I list above are not explicitly part of the quest, unlike other games where they may well be).

This is not rocket science, nor is describing how a game works some kind of evangelism.

Think it's going to be a marmite game in some regards. You either get what the games about or you don't.

Maybe he means they're just very happy and carefree pirates.

Not likely with all the scurvy though.

Now those are some gay pirates.

"one doth detest too much, me thinks"

    ANYWAY!

This looks hilarious! I watched a 30min video earlier with a group of 3/4 friends playing. Definitely better with folk.

Can't wait to have a go!

Any idea why this is more expensive (see amazon and others) on PC than Xbox and why it isnít listed on steam yet?

@Ror I had never even tried XGP and still got the offer. It's a Valentine's Day promotion AFAIK.

I get the game, I just thought it was a weird description of how/why the game is great. He basically described every open world game.

Pretty much, but the point is the focus on SoT seems to be 'but the quests are basic', which is true (thusfar), but also missing the point of... these kinds of games.

    @Peew971
Really, does that run on a pc as well?
To be clear, the reason I was asking about the PC was because I donít have an xbox more recent than the 360.

When you break it down the quests are basic fetch quests but for me the hook of the game is the shenanigans from going from A to B and because the large ships require a semi competent crew to sail properly, if anyone slips up things can go to shit very fast.

@Zero_g Play Anywhere titles give you the game on both XB1 and PC, you can buy the Xbox version and you'll be able to play it on your PC (it has to be a digital purchase I believe but I could be wrong on that).

No, you're right. It has to be a digital purchase. Physical purchases come with the disc only, no code, and PCs won't read that.

You have to be subbed already to get that offer, right? Do you know if the trial counts?
    Xbox Game Pass

Follow the link above and sign in, it should change the price from £7.99 to £3. It stacks so you can buy it as many times as you wish, and it will just push the renewal date back by one month for every purchase. No need to be currently subbed to it.
