Well, that's what they're saying they are doing. Although I can't wait for the next Zelda title, I do wonder when we're going to see some fresh IP rather than the next Mario game. Getting a bit tired of Mario TBH and I wasn't much of a fan to start with. Zelda, however, I don't mind them doing some more of those. They did a show once about the guy doing the Mario voicework and he does shitloads of voices for Nintendo. Bloke's earning a chuffing fortune and he's got all this Mario product gear at his house. ALSO the scanny bastard has a sound studio in the house so he just falls out of bed, does the .wav files, sends them out and then retires to the swimming pool. Not a bad life. |

What does having been wrong in the past have to do with forming opinions in the present? If I were to say to myself, "golly, i've been wrong, I better keep my mouth shut" i'd officially become just as worthless as most Europeans!
Oh, it's priceless. It really is. You see what he did there? He's making the distinction between Europeans and Americans, you see? In answer to someone pointing out that he's never been right.
Americans according to Mr Evil: WILL speak their mind. Even if it's always wrong.
Europeans according to Mr Evil: WON'T speak their mind. Even if it's right.
Note that in this case THE AMERICAN WAY IS BETTER.
I am reminded of a famous quote. Perhaps you've heard it before, Mr Evil? I don't recall how it goes exactly (truth is, I don't think anyone does), but here is my attempt at recalling it:
"It is better to be silent and thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt."
Quite a bright fucker who came up with that, don't you think?
Hmmm.
American, he was.
Now that's irony. -

Or was it: "Man who put peas and carrots in same pot, most un-hygenic"? -

(I know i've posted this before, i'd just like the pussy to respond knowing that he's on this thread.)
I linked you through in that comments thread when you got a little bit annoyed that i had a source to show that nitendo would release a more powerful console than the GC. Go check it out and come back to me -

So, there's a good part (not having to directly out-hype Microsoft and Sony) and a bad part (apearing to lack confidence).
I think it's the right decision. They really wouldn't manage to make as much noise as the other guys, they're not good at it. And they'd end up unnoticed.
Sure, it won't look good. But you have to take into account that people don't have such a good memory. As soon as Nintendo's unveiling will take place, if it's impressive, everyone will forget all the doubts.
It's exactly what happened with the DS. We all thought they went mad. I remeber thinking "man, I only have one pair of eyes, what good will two screens do to me?". But then we realized something that our friend Bill obviously prefers to ignore, that the second screen is a touchscreen. Wich is brilliant! You now can have first person shooters and real time strategy games on a portable console! And puzzle games like Zoo Keeper or Polarium are so easy to use with this interface, that a lot of less tech savy people have bought the console. Do we care now that we once thought it's going to be crap? We don't.
And to come down into the mud for a second, Bill, you should really go to school more often. Europe is not a country. Europeans are not all the same. Not by far. -
