Just got back from seeing it and it's the best film I've seen at the cinema in a long while. Absolutely fantastic. Don't expect anything new or original, but if you fancy something that you can turn your brain off to and just watch and enjoy, go and see it. It has the same great 'feeling' that Indiana Jones has. Honestly I thought it'd be a bit pants like National Treasure was but it totally suprised me. Something about it really just clicks and it's made me look forward to tomorrow, which is very odd. Great popcorn movie. |

"great popcorn movie" is the key phrase imho. It's not going to win any awards but was great fun. -

At this time of the year its normally a Bruckheimer film that comes along, resplendent in its orange filtered silliness to fufill this need but I hear Spielberg pinched Michael Bay for a bit, hence Sahara filling that gap this year. -

Registered 18 years agoI saw this last Friday, and for a 'weekend' film it is pretty ace! Completely enjoyed it, though the missus kept trying to get comfortable and really made my arm and shoulder ache, thus detracting from enjoyment... Grrr!

Nope, no mention of Lincoln at all. -
I love a good brain-off movie too but it still has to have continuity in that context. If it has that (unlike League of Badly acting gentlemen, and Van Wanking etc..) then I'll go see it!
