Registered 11 years agoThe DCEU really is a fucking mess, everything apart from Wonder Woman has failed on some level (or in the case of Suicide Squad, every level).
They even fucked up Afflecks Batman straight away by having him be a mass murderer.
If I was Matt Reeves I'd make his new Batman trilogy stand alone, away from the DCEU. Get a new, younger Batman and also recast all the shite villains from Suicide Squad. -

Registered 7 years agoReeves seems to get on well with studio people whilst making the film's he wants the way he wants so as long as he starts attached this might end up being good.

Sounds good on paper but if that's going to happen then they need to actually start connecting the DCEU films together. -

Registered 8 years agoYeah I'm highly sceptical of WB actually going the distance with this film and their other stuff. All it takes is one bad film for them to start losing their shit and panic. I don't know why they just don't admit that Snyder, with his grim dark universe, has put them in a massive creative cul de sac. I'm sure gritty comics was a late 80s early 90s thing, what's wrong with superman being fun and light and batman being dark? -
