| Oddly I enjoyed getting all the achievements for this. Great atmosphere...could do with a sequel. |

60% done, now.
Still totally enraptured.
And I have only ever watched Mad Max 1 and thought it was shite. This game made me get the Fury Road Blu Ray off ebay to see what all the fuss was about. -

Registered 17 years agoRoad Warrior is good but not great, mostly because of it's age. Fury Road mostly does the same thing with more style, and it's easier to watch because it doesn't look like it's all been wardrobed from the local car boot sale. -

Registered 18 years agoI've been playing this. Well, maybe.
I feel like the game I bought is called Sensible Max. In my game you go around scouring the wastes for some recyclable scrap metal, making strategic acquaintances and improving in their infrastructure like an angel investor, conserving ammo and water and generally being sensible and forward thinking. Not sure how long I'm in the story either - Sensible Max is way too busy trying to reverse global warming by dismantling oil pump camps and disarming minefields so no one gets hurt.

I thought I was Sensible Max a lot when I was playing it. It might have been my playing style but when attacking some of the larger bases I often ended up taking out their exterior defenses from great distance with a rifle. The shortage of ammo and supplies meant caution was often needed, and the disarming mines sections were slow.
There was one base I never got around to destroying. For whatever reason, whenever you went in for the main hand to hand combat it went into night mode where a dark grey Max battled dark grey bad guys. The crappy camera position meant I often couldn't work out which character Max was until he was flapping around on the floor getting his arse kicked. By not clearing the base I never got the best engine, but the final big race was so easy I didn't need it.
I still liked it though.
