I used to love The Muppets. Don't think they had much crossover with NWA though.
I saw the 2011 movie at the weekend (long story). But it brought back SO many memories. :D

Fwiw, on topic, I really enjoyed Straight Outta Compton. Sure, it's a revised history, but it was always going to be. It was also a very good movie, imo.

Jungle came from breakbeak rave and hardcore and has whiter roots than my gran's blue rince.
And pretty much all of it based off of the one Amen Break sample. Dem white folks always stealing from the black man!

jungle/d&b has clear black roots. dunno how it's a discussion. where did it start? bristol/east london. doesn't mean it's an exclusive club or whatever, but yeah.

Yeah I thought jungle evolved from breakbeat hardcore from DJ's like daz willet, clubs like entropy. Scally music and such

Jungle used a breakbeat sample but the sound was influenced by reggae, dancehall, hip hop etc.

What I can gather from KitchenJen, white people stole black peoples music, improved on it and sold it to the masses.

Loved it, if I wasn't with a bird I probably woulda gotten a bit teary tbh.

Though I did notice certain things were missing, most notably...

    Cocaine
    All the other drugs.
    Misogyny
    Gross Misogyny
    Lots of fucking
Fucked up parties, not just the good time poolside ones
    Fighting on tour

Can't forget the small matter of the film just pretending that another NWA member never existed.

Or the film not giving Ren his dues.

Or the film neglecting the significant public feud between Eazy and Dre and the interviews, songs and.music videos it fuelled.

Or the World Class Wreckin Cru...
