I find the idea that someone would consider not going to the cinema because they’d look out of place beyond preposterous, simple as that.

I want to see this but i think I would look out of place in the cinema as a late thirties white male in my town, despite the fact I could say I was around at the time of it all.
Get a fucking grip of yourself man.
As others have mentioned, the idea that you’d be the only white face there is also preposterous.
I saw Ice Cube live in Glasgow 20 years ago, I’m the whitest person alive and I wasn’t alone. -

And yes, I was caught by surprise that it was ice's son. I was certain he was some kind of CGI Cube, as he's virtually a clone. -

Hip hop in the UK attracts cracker's in droves. Black music tended to be garage type stuff. Although I haven't been down with the kids in years so this might be wrong.

Registered 8 years ago@hillbilly66 jungle > garage > grime. Keep moving on to new stuff because the whites ruin everything. Just look at rap in the states, the people who sell well are shit like pit bull and iggy both are shit and not black. Maklamore or what ever won bloody Grammy over Kendrick lamar, like wtf. -

Registered 7 years ago@Kichijoten Eminem is better then most rappers, in fact he is my top rapper easily. You might not like him for what he is up to now, but he was a beast back in the day. And oh rap God just killed every other rapper claiming there some rap kings etc. -

Registered 8 years agoI mean the overall sound of the genre. Jungle music was amazing, in early 90s the jungle raves were more black, by end of 90s it was drum and bass the sound had been ruined and it was 95% white people. Garage again was great but same thing happened, it caught on and because white. Grime. Even back in the day with blues and rock, you had howlin wolf, muddy waters, b b king etc doing their thing making it happen then you had Elvis steal it all and the music got worse, then led zeppelin etc straight up stole their music and the sound changed and it went from a black culture thing to a 99% white rock music. -

Registered 16 years agoSo revan; can you explain to me, in simple terms, how white people are responsible for a black man like Kanye West becoming the biggest rap star of the 2010s despite his musical output being largely horrendous? -

Yeah when I say Hip Hop culture I mean the underground that hung around the clubs, battles and record shops in Manchester, where I worked at the time. The mix was multicultural, there were Black heads but the atmosphere wasn't intimidating like the Jungle raves of the 90s.

Reminder to everyone that Revan is talking about art authenticity and stealing
