Registered 14 years agoAnecdotal, but I've rolled out hundreds of all three to random NHS workers and iOS easily brought back the fewest support tickets, followed by Android. Windows was a nightmare. -

This encapsulates all the stupidity in this thread into a nice little diamond hard poop nugget.
@Bowzer43 This also x 100. Perfect summary and couldn't agree more. It is literally the sheep mentality but oh no criticism isn't allowed because Apple must be the best because everyone else has an iPhone...
Criticism of apple stuff is fine but when you criticise the users, it makes you sound like an inbred pig fucker.
'All android users are just sheep, following the 'it's open source so it must be better' lie'. Can you see how stupid that sounds?

Considered and rejected. Sony make average phones - I'm not a fan. I'm guessing in your world I'm not allowed to actually hold that opinion despite being demonstrably more informed on the mobile market than you are.
@Phattso so your saying you wouldn't even consider a Xperia Z5 compact? Has all the specs of one of those massive flagships while also having 2 days battery, top quality camera, waterproof design as well as dual front facing speakers? Also supports noise cancelling headphones (the 5 pin ones) which is a God sent while on the public transport or a plane etc
Yes you may say all of this is pointless but why would one not give it a try/consideration when it's offering not going to cost anything extra to what other flagships are -

Registered 16 years agoIn not actually a fan of the z5s design. It's just too square. It looks like the monolith from 2001.
Also, it's a pointless argument because anyone who buys a flagship phone is wasting their money. -

Registered 14 years agoWait. According to this thread, nowadays iOS has the smaller market share compared to Android. But the people who go iOS are the sheep? -

Registered 16 years agoNo, IOS has a special retard compensator as Apple have an image to protect.
It also corrects 'could of'. -

Registered 16 years agoDo android users dream of iOS sheep? -
the meme of apple being a great marketing swindle seems to be the prevailing one. like somehow they could sustain a near $trillion-worth company, selling hugely expensive, vastly inferior products for the best part of a decade, often to repeat customers, all thanks to some good marketing?
they marketed the hell out of apple music and it's doing super shit because it's super shit. -

Registered 10 years agoI had an encounter a few weeks ago where a friend asked me about my Apple Watch, so I showed it to him and answered some of his questions. After about five minutes he said "well, you haven't convinced me". I told him that I don't care as it's not my job to convince him, to which he replied "yes it is!".
He's not the first to expect me to fervently defend my purchase of an Apple product. There are quite a few people that are under the impression that I give a fuck what they think about my buying decisions. I wonder why, as I've never met those fabled Apple zealots running around trying to convert the heathens. Are they really that common? -

Registered 16 years agoIm getting an apple watch in this years employee purchase scheme.
When people ask me why, the best I can come up with is 'because I'm an idiot/human magpie'. -

Registered 13 years ago@ozthegweat It is very weird, I have very similar experiences. People seem to get genuinely upset about what I spend my money on (and by people I don't mean my wife!). My personal opinions are I wish we'd stop this race to the bottom, trying to get everything for as cheap as possible etc. Want to know why there are no manufacturing jobs in the UK? Because we all want tablets etc for peanuts so they have to be manufactured in labour camps in cheap parts of the world, at least Apple have started (admittedly only a very small amount so far) bringing some of their success back to jobs in the US. -

Registered 14 years ago@ozthegweat You know, I've had the same experience with mine. Somebody asked for the run down and I explained what I like about it (the convenient notifications mainly) before they said it was cool, but not worth the money. They got really confused when I agreed with them.
Having the watch close to release date and all the resulting conversations with people who noticed it made me realise how much people just regurgitate stuff they've read online. -

Registered 7 years agoI used to have a Samsung S4, it was horrible to use with some weird design decisions both in the software and hardware. Next time I go android I'd only consider the nexus line as there's less bloatwsre and generally seem decent.
I don't get why anyone would give a shit what phone someone else owns or why anyone would pay much attention to the marketing of any company. -
