Sorry to keep asking questions! Mac iTunes alternative...

I really really need to be able to copy mp3s from my PC over the network and straight onto my ipod without having to copy the mp3s onto the mac first. I tried Audion to no avail, and I can't seemto track anything else down that will have it. I can't believe it's such a tricky feature to track down! Anyone? Dust? No?

I use Winamp Pro to rip CDs to MP3. Fastest and easiest way I know of.

Holy shit otto I think you might have nailed it with the selecting of my network drive as the iTunes folder. I'd never seen that before! Thanks!

BTW, sorry for being gross earlier, I cringed when I saw that post again. I love you.

Have you tried setting your PC's drive as the iTunes library?

Not if you uncheck the 'organise my files' option.

There are third party solutions available, I assume you've tried Audion (I'm guessing that's what you meant with Auion). There's also YamiPod.

If it isn't it'll just come up with an error message and ask you if you want to create a new one. At which point you say no, iTunes quits, you mount your network drive, and try again. It's pretty straightforward. :)
