Having a couple of expensive beers in one of my favourite bars (North Bar in Leeds) on the way home - always a fan of the stuff where they ask if you're OK with the price before they pour.

Holsten Pils. An ex colleague who was a sapper and unbelievably healthy chap always used to say this was the healthiest lager to drink because most of the sugar had turned to alcohol. After three cans I am not feeling particularly healthy.

Opened a bottle of red wine and it tastes like ribena mixed with toilet duck. Cost a tenner as well. Fuck that.

Couldn't find the ale thread, so this will do.

Treated myself to a Toffee Ale from Aldi:

First impressions are it tastes like toffee. Don't think I'll drink more than one as it is a bit sickly.

I have it followed, and can bump it if you like, but it's not been posted in for a year or so.

We must all have gone tee-total or something.

Just had a measure of Kraken myself, mixed with a Cinnamon Coke Zero Sugar and a slice of lime.

    Delightful and somewhat luxurious.

Bailey's, Vodka, nothing fancy. Fallen off the wagon tbh, being perpetually sober fucking sucks.

@b-rk I'm about four years perpetually sober and have to say I much prefer it.

Tonight I'm having San Pellegrino and tomorrow I'll be able to do stuff while my neighbours good their heads and groan a lot... judging by the increasing noise coming from next door.

Some Jack Daniels and honey may be imbibed later, but I am not feeling very festive tonight. Might just play some Luigiís Mansion 3 with a nice cup of tea.
