Like Hophouse too. Nice crisp lager. I'm mildly addicted to Moretti still. And Menabrea.

I really, really fancy lager, which I haven't had or craved in fucking ages. I'm not going to Asda though, I just can't face it.

When I can be arsed actually venturing out, what lager do you guys recommend I try? I fancy something different.

Just got 6 bottles of red delivered from Majestic. I'm supposed to be working until 6 but really struggling not to open one. Feels like I'd be crossing a line though.
If you haven't cracked one open already then you should. You posted at 3pm, you're working till 6, it's 4:30 now, so this is a totally fair and adequate compromise time to get on it.
I compromised further and had a beer.

I do like Moretti, nice full flavoured beverage. Havenít tried (or even heard of) Menabrea.

I love how you can get realistic sized bottles now, 650ml or GTFO. 330ml is just pointless. My mum always gets those packs of 250ml French lagers, I mean why bother. Theyíre gone in two swigs. I swear I end up drinking more in total compared to large bottles just out of dissatisfaction.

I wish San Miguel would bring back those 1 litre bottles, itís the ideal summer BBQ / party drink plus it feels a bit hood. Pour out some liquor for my dead homies

On that note, when Iím in the US I make a point of drinking a few 40oz bottles of malt liquor, something like Old English or Colt 45. They donít fuck around, itís a litre of 8% ďbeerĒ which in essence is Special Brew

I used to drink barley wine snakebites - I don't think I could cope with them anymore.

@TechnoHippy Thatís pretty feisty. Many years ago in one of the pubs I worked in there was a customer who drank Special Brew & Stongbow snakebite and black. He was allowed 2, per evening

The last bottle of my home brew IPA. Gave it a try out of curiosity, have a distant memory of my dad being into making his own beer when I was a kid, but, man, sterilising everything is a faff. Might do it again to make a shit load of beer for Christmas but I canít see me being a full time home brew nerd.

I am having a Lidl porter again, but have also been craving lager recently. Will have to pick some up, I think. All I have is three bottles of Cobra.

It's my birthday next week, so I ordered some more sake, expecting it to take the better part of a week, but instead it came today. Got a 720ml bottle of Gekkeikan Junmai Ginjo, and three smaller bottles (280-300ml ones) - one Mio sparkling sake, one nama (also Gekkeikan) and one nigori. I'll probably leave them all for next week though.

Menabrea is my go to for a treat. Hard to find in bulk but Tesco generally do the big bottles 2 for £4. I stick to the 330ml cans of Moretti, I drink less. One of my mates only ever drinks the 660ml and whenever we have a session, I he insists on pouring me the same so I end up twatted.

Anyone invested in one of the various home kegs? Always tempted but it's not cheap and generally a hassle to source the kegs quickly.

I got a beer52 subscription for my birthday so working through a selection of trendily named craft beers in suspiciously small bottles/cans. Combined with the isolation beard my slide towards hipster twat is gaining momentum.

I've run out of beer, and can't be bothered to go out. There is a bottle of vodka though.
