@Vortex808 'Bakewell' (link to the brewery) quite fruity more tart than sour - like a sharp blackberry bite.

Haha, I think we're the same person. The only reason I haven't is because of the sleeping. The thought of it sounds amazing.

I've had the Hazelnut one(nice but can be a bit sickly) and the Lime bought for me recently. Lime is great on a hot sunny day with a bbq. How is the raspberry one, quite sweet?

Red Leg is still king though.
It's kind of sweet yeah but there's a bit of a tartness to it too. It's not bad at all. And yeah I love Red Leg but I think Dead Man's Finger might just pip it for me. There's nothing in it really though.

Never tried that one. Is it still in production?

I'll have to keep an eye out for it. I have been in their bar a few times, but not a massive fan of sour beer, so may have seen it & swerved it.

Some i like and can be quite refreshing, but too many are like a pint of super sour fizzy snakes and can do one.

After a double-header of Fargo and The Raid tonight, a little Ardbeg to see me to sleep.

    Night all.

@Vortex808 I fear not. I haven't seen any stock for a few months now. It seems Thornbridge selections at supermarkets have dwindled a lot over the last 12 months.

I wisely steered clear for a night. Best night's sleep I've had in ages!

Probably a sensible move after the previous evening's overindulgence.

Maybe there's actually a point for us all to start to live and learn at long last? 😉

@Rum_Monkey got a bottle of the coffee dead man's finger off the wife for our anniversary and I wouldn't recommend. Sitting in a strange hotel room after a full day of drinking and feel absolutely wired. Just opened a bottle of red wine to dull the jitters but the walls are closing in. Hold me closer Ed, it's getting dark

    Tastes fucking amazing though.

Got through a bottle of the spiced rum dead man's fingers in a ridiculously short amount of time a couple of months ago. Started off mixing it with coke like some kind of monster, then realised that it's completely wasted as a mixer and much nicer neat.

Probably not a good idea for me to buy any more!

Ha, sounds totally worth it. Think I might get it as ane emergency rum, only break it out in desperate times.

Accompanied with some Flamin' Hot Giant Wotsits.

    Livin' the dream! 😃

Then a Goose Island 'Matilda' Belgian style beer.

Which was not bad at all.

Very nice. I had a Moretti, a couple of gins (Isle of Wight Mermaid, thoroughly recommended if gin lovers see it anywhere) and some really quite nice Malbec. Aces.

Thought I've been drinking next to nothing the past couple of weeks I'm indulging in cheap wine tonight, and hopefully a lot of it. Because it's 24 hrs before the new lockdown - and this one could be a while - here in Belgium as well as for other, personal reasons.

Expect Fruit_Salad quality posts later and a lot of moaning and regret in days to come.

    :D

    Enjoy the hangover tomorrow! 😃

Few beers here. A Brewdog Mr President, a Thornbridge Lucaria salted caramel porter, now a Brewdog Stratospheric.

The Thornbridge was probably the pick of the bunch. They rarely disappoint.

Halved a bottled of pretty awful red wine with the wife, then we had a couple of summer fruit vodkas with lemonade, then we had the same argument about her being the mayor from Jaws that we had when the first lockdown came in which made her go to bed so now now I'm settled in with various drinks and music. And not back to work until Thursday. I'm going to go for it.

    @Decks
Pretty sure I heard my missus having a very Mayor Vaughn sounding conversation with her mum earlier. I can imagine it's only a matter of time before that argument kicks off in this house.

Only had 5 beers in the house and I'm on my last one now, otherwise I'd be on it too!

The fact I had to google Mayor Vaughn to know who you were talking about when I was just talking about the mayor from Jaws in my last post tells me I'm on the right track.

I tried Guinness 0.0 for the first time. Really impressed and I'm looking forward to it being on draught in pubs next year.

Blergh, that is how I currently feel after pretty much drinking everything in the house.

Now I need to find something to get rid of this hangover.

Yeah I really went for it. I was drinking neat coffee rum at the end and woke my wife up by singing so loud. Woke up at 5am on the sofa fully clothed and sitting upright. Since I started the healthy eating bullshit I don't get hangovers anymore. It's like a super power.

My night was pretty similar minus the singing. I think I'm still slightly drunk.

Gin. Got 3 bottles for my birthday the other day, so would have been rude not to. Aviator definitely the best of the 3.
