Bought a haul of booze, with the plan to stock up for Christmas. Have a selection of sours and strong stouts from Wild Beer, and a mixed box and a case of smoked lager from Moor Brewery.

Also have an Ardbeg Wee Beastie single malt and a whisky advent calendar on the way.

The difficulty is going to be not drinking it before December.

I'm pretty sure Santa doesn't come if you open an advent calendar before December.

Biggest issue would be having to spend more money to replace what I drank :p

If hes not dead, will he have to wear a face covering, or will the beard be sufficient?

    All those 'rona infested chimneys...

If he's not a goner already, this'll really be' last Christmas' for poor Santa.

Wonder when I'll start winding our boy up about that. Sadly, he already knows the deal, so at least he's spared the worries about a North Pole Lockdown!

It's Thursday, and I've been good by only drinking at weekends for months, so cracked a beer.

A Northern Monk 'Guava have faith'. A Guava & passion fruit IPA.

What the fuck is this? It's fruity for sure, but seriously flocculent. There's bits floating in it at all over the shop. Tastes ok and it's supposed to be like this by the looks of untappd.

I've grown cultures of bacteria at work that look more appealing FFS! 😃

Ha, it's now sedimented out a bit. There's about 2cm of crud at the bottom. I ain't drinking that.

Might be posting in the poop thread tomorrow!

You can probably just copy and paste that post into the poop thread if you delete the first 2 paragraphs.

I tried the Brew Dog Punk AF earlier. I think I liked it better than Nanny State.

Have a look for the Hazy AF if you haven't tried it, it's not bad either.

It has the same alcohol-free(ish) taste, but is slightly more refreshing IMO.

Our Morrisons & Tesco have them, but it's no doubt not nationwide. Our local Tesco had a pretty decent no/low booze selection for a while, but that's been cut with the lockdown stock cull. I hope it increases again at some point.

Should also mention Beavertown Nanobot, which is 2.5% and pretty great. All day session stuff with minimal liver damage! 😃

Can't beat a session ale. So many are just too punchy these days. I can't touch any beers over 5%. Good old Whitbread Best at 3.1% or something

Brakespeare Bitter at 3.4% is the one for me. Unfortunately can't get it routinely at Sainsbury's like I used to be able to.

    80s Ale joke:

I was in the pub last week when a woman came up to my table, pulled down her pants and guffed into my pint of bitter. 'You fart in my Whitbread?' I asked.

    'No, I'm Tessa Sanderson'.

As an update to a few posts above, all was fine with my morning poopage.

My guts are apparently more robust than to be knocked sideways by a load of weird milkshake ipa sediment. \o/

Seems like good a time as any to crack something cold and drink good health to Joe and Kamala.

Just tried a Brewdog Fake Empire - Hazy Sour and not too bad. Not as tart as the old Thornbridge Tart though.

My missus got a Duvel earlier expecting it to be a nice refreshing beer not realising that it's 8+%. It's sat in the fridge now taunting me.
