Maybe with comicbook readers he's defacto, not in the mainstream though.

But yeah, I reckon the MCU needs him more than the opposite.

If it were incorporated, it'd be interesting to see whether they'd turn him live action or animated (which would be weird AF, but then so is a racoon and a tree).

Spiderverse was absolute bangers as a movie. I echo Bob, 10/10 material for a Marvel movie, and still my personal favourite of them all.

Yeah, it was criminally overlooked on it's theatrical run and of those that did see it, about 50% seemed to think the animation/projectors were broken, when it's actually the most unique, bravest and most brilliantly stylish animation I've seen since early Pixar and their golden run.

Me too Riv, think I could probably watch it once a month and not grow tired, find something new every time and feel totally uplifted after a couple of hours too. Amazing film.

It's great and gets just about everything right just wasn't that keen on Kingpins look

Makes me wonder what Solo would have been had Disney not fired them.

He's not. He has a couple of book lines, but Peter is still around in his books too.

Been rewatching all of the film in order, after seeing Endgame. It's really noticeable watching them so close together, how overused that Krav Maga style fighting is. Nat, Clint, Cap, Bucky, Sam, Scott, Hope, Tony(when not suited), Rody(ditto), T'chala and Maria Hill all use that block, block, counterpunch, lock, block, counterpunch style at one point or another.
I think you're conflating movie choreography with krav maga. RDJ trains wing chun and Chadwick Boseman trains capoeira. These are incorporated into their fight choreography but I don't think they all use krav as a base - the fight choreographers use a mix of stuff.

The problem is that it's Sony's.
Well obviously, that's why I mentioned them up there.

The Far From Home trailer allows this now and Sony would be a bit daft to say no if they were approached. Hell, they even mentioned Miles obliquely in Homecoming.
I don't think the MCU is going to allow this, more likely that they'll have their MCU multiverse as a convenient excuse to introduce characters as they need them, if it persists, not that it will umbrella all the Marvel movies into different versions of Earth.

Multiverse could be a lie and part of Mysterio's deception. Or not.

Well there's that or that he is from another dimension but a villain. He is a known liar. I believe that in the comics that 616 Mysterio and Ultimate universe Mysterio are the same person. I'm go with that he's from the multiverse, it would be odd for them them to reference such a big thing and have it be a ruse.

While that’s probably true, the article is about the comics.

Oh silly me - came up in my Google feed alongside another barrage of Avengers stuff. Sorry!

Bound to happen at some point though.

    Low whelm count for me.

Some great moments but plenty that could be edited down. It's bloated with a lot of unnecessary elements and the primary antogonist is rendered fairly irrelevant except for the last 20 - 30 minutes.

Power levels have always been an issue, I understand It's impossible to balance heros with spear/handgun/handglider alongside strongest beings in the universe but it felt more evident in this film than any of the others.

This is a film that will get reviewed harshly in this forum post hype. Nolan Batman styles.

Also really wasn't keen on the choice for the passing of the torch moment.

I know this was from a week ago but I have to agree 100%. Most satisfying superhero movie I've watched for an absolute age.

I did wonder why future Spiderman didn't figure but it didn't tarnish a stunning film.

They originally planned to have the 3 live action Spiderman actors in it but thought it would confuse people... seriously?!? That would have made the film even more awesome.

They all lined up to punch Thanos, and he batters them all even without the guantlet ! I don't get, is he the stronger than all of them?

    Yeah.
Hulk and Thor are the strongest of the Avengers and he batters them both at the start of Infinity War.

She'll probably get her own trilogy, be in two Avengers films and cameo in a couple.

    Finally managed to watch:

The Endgame: ... a 5/10 maybe? Deeply disappointing after all the hype and the rave reviews. The end battle was a particular low point, and the whole "everyone joins the fight" was just embarrassing.

Into the Spiderverse, however, was fucking amazing. Just about perfect, really.

Ah, that was my guess. I actually just read back a few pages and found the answer. Cheers!

I enjoyed it, though expected Captain Marvel to have a slightly larger role…

Poochie went back to her home planet for the same reason Superman spent 90% of Justice League in a coffin.

It does feel a bit weird that the stinger at the end of Infinity War had everyone going AAAWWWW YEAH CAPTAIN MARVEL IS GOING TO COME AND SAVE EVERYONE, and then she fucks off and the actual MVP turns out to be Antman.

She's already overpowered and they couldn't think of a good way to not have her win inside 30 seconds
